It is an interesting day out, educational for the kids, with a nice walk in between. Take your camera, amazing pictures are waiting for you. It is worth seeing if you are around Brasov, Saschiz area.

Seeing a volcano and its impact on the environment is quite powerful. The entire area is indeed rich of sights which can be accessed free of charge, but by car or on an organized trip.

The place is a nice geological site. Here you can see a small amount of columnar basalt, a turquoise color lake and some former volcanic activity traces. It is nice, if you are in the region, it is worthy for a visit.
