We were so lucky on our visit, we had perfect views but after our walk to the falls the clouds had rolled in. It had snowed the day before so The was lots of snow still about which was great.

We got very nice views of Mount Taranaki from Egmont national park. We did not climb the mountain, however loved the view ! You can drive directly to Taranaki / Egmont National Park Visitor Centre. It is a nice place to see the mountain.

An amazing experience. The top of the maunga was a once and a life time experience. Please be advised that this hike could be very dangerous if you are not fit or don’t have the appropriate tramping/hiking gear.
