More of ruins than a fortress, to be accurate - but even more to learn about construction practices this way. Nice view too.

Really enjoyed the visit to this quaint place. Fantastic views in a beautiful setting. Well worth the visit .

The climb was worth it, magnifient view overlooking the port of Balaklva and the Black sea. The steps are conceived for short strides, easily accessible for non athletes.

The fortress itself was undergoing some sort of renovation when I visited. But it is lovely to walk up there and check it out and you get magnificent views. There was no charge for it. You can walk along the cliff top for a couple...More
