We perform checks on reviews.
Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hidden between mountain slopes of leafy vegetation and river beaches with crystal clear water the schist villages are a great opportunity to spend moments of relaxation. The people are very hospitable and always have the time to welcome visitors and share their stories and traditions. In between, you can always try some gastronomic delights (made from recipes passed down from generation to generation) such as in the restaurant "Pátio do Xisto". If you decide to discover the surrounded forest by foot - Schist paths - you can encounter wild foxes or beautiful waterfalls. It's not very far from the big cities and the mountain roads are in good condition.

Another traditional village, maybe a bit less popular, but exceeded my expectations. The views over the valley are fabulous, if weather allows it. There are nice places to eat and stay overnight. very romantic.

Beautiful village of Shisto, but with almost everything closed, no people in the village.
We loved visiting.
I recommend visiting, although to get there you have to drive by difficult road.

Lifeless village. Not even an animal. It looks like a storefront. It doesn't even try to recreate the reality of a village. No meeting points to have a snack or drink... Holidays and restaurant closed.

One of the best stays in Portugal.
The friendliness of the reception staff, breakfast, and the Casa Mãe community exceeds 100%.
Thank you to the entire team that organizes this wonder.

Uncommercial village, great for rest and family outings. Anyone coming from Castanheira de Pera has to walk more than 40 km, while it is 7 km on a beaten road.
