Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely little spot set alongside the river with some great walks. The cafe is amazing. Food is served all day, good quality and does not break the bank. The homemade soup was just that - like my Granny made. The cakes and coffee are amazing and the staff are really friendly. They welcome dogs.

One of the highlights is the bird feeding station just in front of the cafe. If you’re lucky you might catch a a red squirrel.

Loos cafe and shop closed. Advice for those who want the loo...use the bushes!. Parking still £3 and Web site pretends all OK. Its a disgrace. Go to Blair Athol up the road - parking free and cafe, museum, loos, and TIC all open! NTS needs to sort itself out.

Staff in the visitor center are welcoming and helpful, they will provide all the historical events. The nature walk is very beautiful and quite easy as long as you can climb steps.

On a recent short stay in Pitlochry my wife and I took the 4 mile path walk to Garry Bridge, then the further 1.5 miles to Killiecrankie. Arrived at the visitor centre about 1pm and by that time looking forward to a seat, sandwich and with luck a good hot bowl of soup. How disappointed to find no cafe and only coffee for carrying-out available. Didn’t bother to go in to the centre as we were desperate for a rest and some refreshments so headed the 3 mile walk back to Pitlochry by road.
No criticism of the centre as far as displays and history are concerned, but surely given the fact that many people use the walks to visit the location, a missed opportunity by those concerned in not providing decent refreshments or rest area.

We went to Killiecrankie visitors centre because in our guidebook a walk was recommended (capitool reisgids nederlandse editie).
In the visitors centre we asked for some more details of the walk.

In our guide it was mentioned simple.
After an almost 4 hour walk with some steep slopes and bumpy forestpaths we don't think it is simple.

At some points of the walk the signs are a bit strange. But you can sort ot out on the way.

We recommend you to wear good shoes, take some food and drinks with you.
Also use deet or another type of mosquito-defention.

We walked on a dry day after a dry period. We think the track can be very slippery when wet.

Enroute to Inverness from Edinburgh, our group of five saw a sign for Killiecrankie Visitor Centre. Since we love the great outdoors, how could one resist the name "Killiecrankie"? So we stopped in the beautiful greenery and had a wee walk in the area adjacent to the Visitor Centre which features ideas on how to invite nature into your backyard.

We also went into the Centre and enjoyed the displays and items for sale. Worth a visit!

On a recent visit to the highlands I visited the Killiecrankie visitor centre. The car parking was adequate and on the day I visited not too busy. The car parking is free if you have a membership to the National Trust for Scotland. However a £2 charge has to be paid for the car and not the amount of people. Entry to the visitor centre is free. The usual displays about the history of the place. Post cards and other souvenirs. I saw a hot drinks machine, (coffee I think) didn't buy one so I don't know how much. No café as such. The walk to the viewing point is okay but once you've seen it that's it. All in all pretty average and nothing to make me say I would go back for a second look. Have a visit and make your own mind up.

Not much of a visitor centre. It has changed over the years. Now it’s more a cafe/shop. Miss the older version that was more detailed and kids were able to interact with stuff. However, staff were lovely and enjoyed the drinks we got.
