About
Caribbean moods abound on LUPA Beach—‘Budapest’s seaside’—which is but a stone’s throw from the bustling city, and where no-worries beach fun is set in the frame of the largest white sandy water shore in Hungary/Budapest, complete with palms and the crystal clear turquoise waters of the lake. Lupa Beach is also a sport, event, recreation and leisure center.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We looked on the site and it said that it was open. So we took the train and walked half an hour. When we arrived, the place looked old and beaten. We asked for tickets, and the man said that they were closed. We said that they were open according to the site, and then just ignored us. When we stood a little inside of the gate, he stormed out of his office, yelled something and then slammed the door. Would not recommend due to the rude employees.

This is the most awful place Ive ever been. The man at the ticketoffice didnt even answer our questions and threw the door and the window at us. We arrived here at 16 o'clock and he said it was closed, but at the site and at the desk itself it says they close at 9pm. Also the man at the desk was probably watching porn or anything because strange noises were coming out of there, definitly not child friendly. Please stay out of this place they're really rude.

This is a fun place but really needs more food options for vegans. Even the Thai food outlet had egg in everything. This is 2023 and we really should be able to eat good vegan food everywhere!

Prices are reasonable considering you are a ‘captive market’ once inside.

Good wifi. Clean showers and toilets.

If they took cash I’d give 4 stars.

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING CUSTOMER SERVICE. If I could leave a minus 5 review, I would do so. I bought tickets for me and my girlfriend to go to the Lupa Beach 'Official Sziget pre beach party' in which the website promised 'top hungarian djs and live saxophone' and more. We turned up at 2pm (it said it started at 12) and there were no more than 6 people in there. There was no DJ or music. The reception and security staff had disgusting attitudes towards us and were extremely unhelpful when we were clearly upset about being quite clearly, scammed. They also tried to charge us extra on top of the €58 we paid for these two tickets, saying that this was 'not the official party ticket, this was a different ticket' when my QR code and email receipt clearly state it was the official party ticket. The whole thing was absolutely ridiculous and clearly they had not sold enough tickets (or zero tickets, lol) and instead of being honest, cancelling and refunding anyone who did, they tried to act as if nothing was wrong and let people come in anyway. When I asked where the DJS were they laughed and said ‘probably here around 7, maybe 8? At this point I knew no djs were coming. Bare in mind this ‘party’ started at 10am. This was at 2pm.

When we asked for a full refund due to false advertising and a total scam, they said that I needed to contact official sziget as the ticket was bought through sziget website and not from Lupa Beach.
This beach, I can honestly say, is the worst place I have ever been. they really did not seem to care about us or how we had been treated. Do not go here.

Not really busy very mediocre service.
Price list states 20,000 HUF for a private beach, once you want to rent it turns out it is 20,000 HUF per person and min 4. But there is no information about it.
Service is poor the kiosk is not manned, you need to wait.
Manager is arrogant with the wrong attitude.

It’s a shame because it’s nice establishment but run with east European attitude

Pros: the toilet is free. Selection of food is wide and decent. Water is nice.
Cons: everything else cost a lot of money on top of your hefty entrance fee. Nothing but a usual lake beach scenario, nothing premium about it.
Parking is appalling: they allow way more cars to park than space they offer, I ended up wedged in left right and behind.
I am never going again. The entrance fee buys you nothing, just go to any other lake in the country. And you don't even have to listen to really bad beach techno the whole day.

The entrance fee 3900 in weekdays, it is okay. But they check your bag, no food and drink you can bring inside.
Restaurants are awful in the beach area. The staff is under the minimum requirements, they are never works before in hospitality.
Drinks are terrible (Cuba with 3cl, the "bartender" didn't knows what is Hugo, but is in the list, etc.. ). It is just a hype, not more...

We visited Lupa Beach 2-3 times. The cark park was big enough and we were taken by a electric coach to the beach from the entrance.
Thea area was huge, restrooms are clean and there were several eateries.
Lupa beach was also a children's paradise.
A MUST to visit! 🙂
