Agios Stefanos Beach is a great stretch of beach in Kefalos. We went a couple of times on our recent holiday to Kos. We got there early and most of the beach was deserted, and even after lunch it wasn't at all busy. We grabbed...More

This year the beach was quite untidy with rubbish about, The sand is really grit and there are a lot rock below the water line. It is down a very steep road that your little car will only climb in 1st, gear

We have skipped this beach a few times now, but it really is worth the visit. Not sure how long it will be open to the public as a huge hotel is been built. But it’s an ice clean and very safe beach. The sea...More

Drove down a builders track and the boom, stunning beach crystal clear water and fish everywhere. We swam across to the church on the island but found out there is a stone walkway under the sea which makes it alot easier. Had a go on...More

The sand is soft and the water warm and calm. There is an area where all the rocks and stones have been cleared so it's easy to get into and out of the water. Unfortunately there is building work going on right behind the beach...More

The beaches before and after the ruins are both nice. Much sandier after the ruins. Great swimming and snorkelling around the rocks that the ruins sit on, and of course a lovely swim to Kastri Island, with amazing marine life to see if you wear...More

I wonder how long this spot will remain so perfect? We don't want crowds, we don't want to hire sunbeds, we just want to experience the beauty of the area, with the ruins of Agios Stefanos monastery to your right, the stunning Kaspri Island straight...More

Wonderful beach with a historic site and amazing views. Beach is clean and you can rent loungers but you dont have to. There is a constant noise from the building site just above the beach. Looks like new hotel development.

The lady who runs the sun beds is lovely. You get 2 sunbeds and umbrella for 7 euros. There is a toilet, shower and changing hut. The beach and sea are ideal for families and crystal clear water for snorkelling. We swam over to the...More

Not really, no. Most of the bars are on the main road, I recommend Dolphin Rock Cafe, great atmosphere in there. But you would need to go further down towards the main Kefalos bit to reach bars and tavernas
