Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice walk up the side of the volcano to look at the dormant crater where there is a small old church built. We decided as 4 adults and one 8 year old child to descend down into the crater through the trees where there was no footpath. It was exciting but slightly dangerous. Great trip overall for family activity

The long walk is really worth it! We loved the place and we really felt so nice with the forest energy all around us. We had our picnic there and rest under the trees, it is a place we wish we could visit everyday.
There is a nice little chirch right on the center of the crater, which as a human-made thing gives the feeling of ephemereal existence between all this magnificent glory of mother nature.

It is not so long hiking also the climbing is preety stiff.
When finally you get to the vally, you see a poor church.
If you still decide to go, make sure it is not too hot. Anyhow, I would definitely recommend to do something else.

Road to the crater and the church is not long, but it is pretty steep, not difficult though. We were lucky, because there were only a couple of people there. It is a weird sight to see - a volcano crater with a church in the middle of it. It is a quiet and peaceful place.
It was nice to sit there and think about what it used to be.
It definitely is not the most exciting or beautiful places in the area, but I am glad we went there. Wouldn't go there again though.

Pictures do not do the crater justice. It is not a long hike up from the paid parking lot at the bottom of the hill but parts are quite steep. But once you get to the top the rim of the crater is very defined and an easy walk down to the crater bottom that is not treed.

A simple stone chapel sits at the bottom of the crater. It is a nice place for a picnic lunch or just to sit and enjoy the scenery. Unique felling to sit on the bottom and look at the rim encircling above.

Worth the ascent.

There's a parking that allows the visit to the two most important volcanoes in the area. After a nice walk up you get the volcano crater. In the middle there's a small church, normally closed. The views are great and it's a good place to have a snack.

Lovely place to visit on a sunny day. Easy walk down into the volcano, of course a bit harder on the way back up, worth the trip.

Agree with others here saying it's worth the short hike to visit this curious place. Perfect spot for a lunch break if you are biking in the region (lock your bikes at the bottom). Watch your step! You might see (and spare) some rare plant life, such as the orchid we found blooming in the middle of the trail.

Beautiful volcano with a hermitage inside. The excursion is suitable for all ages, everything and there is a little unevenness, the path is very easy.
