Easily accessible and reconstructed Sami camp on the old market and assembly place in the village of Jukkasjarvi. Grazing reindeer, outdoor exhibitions about Sami culture and livelihoods. Sapmi slow food lunch and coffee served by the fire in Cafe Sapmi's giant lavvu-tent; sale of genuine Sami handicraft in adjacent handicraft shop. Guided tours. Ideal for day visitors with a limited amount of time, but still an interest to get an introduction to Sami culture, food and reindeer. Nice little reserve within easy walking distance from the Ice Hotel, with a cosy cafe. Buy a bag of lichen to feed the reindeer: the kids will love it, and so do the adults.

If you have the possibility you have to try the smoked reindeer dellicacy Suovas. We also got to visit the church which is from the 1600-hundreds and we petted some reindeer.
