Before the dogs set out hell for leather their howls and angst is unsettling. Once they are on their way though their speed and power trills you over frozen rivers and swaps to a charming forest camp for lunch.

sled driving your own dog team is a real adventure and an absolute must do if visiting the Ice Hotel. The dogs just want to run and run. It was one of the most exhilarating experiences ever. The luch hlaf way through the tour was fantastic. The weather turned on the way back and we were driving through a light... More

We wanted a dog team each to drive not just sit on a sled ! Kiruna dog sleds offered this and picked us up from their office in Kiruna! Dogs friendly and wonderfully cared for ! They actually seem to love running on the snow . We were given huge outer suits to wear, gloves and fur hats and you... More

So beautiful and pure. The Ice Hotel is a journey and certainly not a destination. We traveled on every form of transportation and saw beautiful sights to reach the hotel. Once there, the hotel was completely made of ice. We slept in the hotel on an ice bed. There were honeymooners there is well. This really piqued my curiosity

Loved every minute, as much as my 11 & 14 yr old sons. They teach you how to drive sleds. How to look after dogs. For the animal activists out there, the dogs are well looked after & as soon as they knew they were going to pull a sled they got excited. Sled for a couple of hours to... More

We were picked up by car at the stipulated tme and made our way to Camp Alta. Our guides were Peter and Craig and surprise surprise, both are non Swedes but they were excellent guides. We even help to pick the dogs and secure them. After a safety and riding brief, we were soon on our way and had a... More

Great team, great experience, just of the hook. We took brand new Coopers out, got trained and drove on a course, careening off of snow and ice walls. Just off the hook.

I and a friend bought our husbands this experience as xmas presents as we were visiting the Ice Hotel in January, therefore they didn't have to wait too long to use it! To see them both return with grins like Cheshire cats said it all really. They were given a brief safety talk and then told to go and enjoy... More
