Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The half of Snezka that we walked was very beautiful, was a genuine winter wonderland, I'd say if you have the time (Like we didn't) definitely go all the way if you're planning on hiking it, keep an eye on the weather and time, the hike is recommended for beginners.. but make sure you wrap up warm and follow the correct trail markings else you might get lost, the weather started to take a turn on our way back down, don't rely on Google maps too much (follow the yellow trail), bring plenty of water.
We didn't see any wild animals, but we went in knowing that brown bear were native to Czech and didn't let it bother us at first... until we saw a few big tracks, (Not a tracker/hunter) all I'll say is make better preparations and precautions than we did if you venture out into the woods, the B word wasn't a joke after seeing those tracks and was a bit on edge on the way back.
The sights at the town of Pec pod Sněžkou were also very nice, the townsfolk are friendly, although a lot of the restaurants and shops were closed as well as the cable car up to Snezka (Wrong season maybe?)
Overall great spot for some pictures, snowboarding and hiking, just make sure you're in the right season so everything opens up a bit more and if you're walking the wilderness trails, bring a guide... or some bear spray.

Great place, great view. But a lot of people. A lot of people from poland throwing garbage everywhere. There is prohibition of walking or sitting on the grass, but Poles doesnt respect it. Please dont be like Poles. There is a special enviroment, that occurs only on this place in Europe. Please be kind to this enviroment.

Our adventure began in Pec pod Snezkou, where we parked our car before hopping onto a cable car bound for Ruzova Hora station at around 1300 meters. The round-trip ticket set us back approximately 13 EUR. From Ruzova Hora, the path to the summit of Snežka at around 1600 meters is quite manageable. Even with kids, dogs, or older companions, the hour and a half hike (or possibly less) is relatively easy. Our visit in July greeted us with a chilly 8°C temperature and fierce 70 km/h winds at the summit, so bundling up is a must. However, when we finally reached the pinnacle, we found ourselves enveloped in clouds and a dense fog that obscured any views. Although the panorama is usually spectacular, our timing was unfortunate. Keep an eye on the weather forecast if you're aiming for breathtaking vistas from the top. Don't worry, though—there's a restaurant at the summit where you can unwind with a drink or a meal.

The highest mountain of the Czech Republic was conquered. A mystical place for all Czechs and Poles. I recommend climbing along the chain. Post office and restaurant at the top.

Highest point in Czech Republic. A relatively easy climb, a couple of routes from Pec. cable cars if your not up to the climb or decent.
Didnt have much of a view from the top as very cloudy but did get a glimpse of Poland from the top :)
Was very quiet the whole climb and the summit was busier.
The main restarant was closed, Maybe due to C19, I really dont know but the post office was open and they also serve hot dogs and drinks as well as been able to send a postcard from the highest point in CZ :)

If you are athletically inclined, it is really fun to walk the blue route to the top. It is a steep and intensive walk, but the path and views are beautiful. The waiting lines for the gondola both up and down the mountain are ridiculously long and cramped. The day we went, the top of the mountain was super overcrowded and it did not feel safe. But the walking tour up the mountain wasn't busy at all and definitely worth it.

Plenty of spectacular tourists routs. I was there when it was so much snow, it was like in fairy tale.

Snezka is the biggest tourist attraction in the Pec pod Snezkou area year round, probably with the exception of skiing during winter. There is no driving here, and by extension no parking here as well. Technically, visiting the mountain is free, if you hike up. If you aren't into hiking then your only other option is taking the cable car from Pec, which isn't free. To me the price is worth the trip. Be aware of the weather for the day because the cable car can be shut down during high winds and stormy weather.
We came here in summer, but on the day we went a cold snap had come thru. The temperature at the peak was only 3°C (37°F), so might want to prepare a jacket with you just in case. Even though it was cold, the day was sunny so we had a great view. The mountain is on the border with Poland and there are markers which show the direction of the border. On the Polish side there is the old Baroque Chapel of St. Lawrence dating back to 1681. On the Czech side there is a post office, with a gift shop and a refreshment stand. You can buy and send post cards from here, if you wish.
We spent about 90 minutes at the top but you can really see everything quicker. The biggest problem is that it gets very crowded, so getting pictures at times can be tough. You just have to deal with it. Getting back down is the same as going up. You either walk or ride. You choose. :) I recommend going to the top. We took the cable car because we have small children, but we plan on coming back one day when they are a little older and doing the hike. As we understand it isn't that difficult for beginners, but it is long and if you are not used to hiking anyway then it will be a challenge. I recommend coming here. It doesn't disappoint.

It is best to walk from the lower gondola station on the green path towards the Růžohorký hut. Then along the yellow path, to the top. The path is wide and mostly paved with large stones.

Tak, wygodniej jest od strony czeskiej, gdzie jest wyciąg z gondolami. Jest wymaga smycz i kaganiec.
