The Okarito trig walk involves a fairly steep climb to reach a simply amazing view. The panoramic view includes the beach, lagoon, wetlands, rainforest, mountains and glacier. Not sure where else you can see this from the one platform. Highly recommend.
We took the beach walk south from the parking lot and came back via the Okarito Trig Walk. Most of the Trig Walk is lined with trees and plants, so there is not much of a view.
