This was our favorite stop on a 7 day multiple port cruise. Sandy beach with perfect snorkel location right off the beach. Snorkeling or diving is a must. Local vendors can be a bit annoying, but the beach security at our site did a good...More
We went to this beach through a cruise excursion after going to the Gumbalimba Park. From the port, the beach is 45 minutes away through windy and narrow rodes. Through the excursion, we got a buffet that was free that featured burgers, hot dogs, and...More
We just got off NCL Getaway June 17th and visited Tabyana Beach on one of our port days. The transportation was set up through NCL. After a 30-45 minute bus ride with Royce as our tour guide he commented on the crappy roads that are...More
We booked this through cruise line. Bus was un-airconditioned, trip was through heavy traffic and took almost 1.5hrs on HORRIBLE roads. You finally get to a beach that was overcrowded and full of peddlers. Water is warm and beautiful as usual for Caribbean. Lunch was...More
Y’all! We went to Tabyana Beach on the recommendation of a friend. The only part about the excursion that I didn’t like was the 40-minute (each direction), terrifying bus ride. Oh, and the second bus didn’t have functioning air conditioning... so, that was BAD. But...More
This beach hands down is one of the most beautiful ones I’ve ever been to! Great place to snorkel and see beautiful coral and fish! The workers super friendly giving private tours out further seeing the drop off points. Really good food, I want the...More
This was our second visit to Tabyana Beach and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Lounge chairs are provided and there is a restaurant, gift shop, restrooms/showers. They also offer snorkeling and it's a beautiful spot - very clear water with...More
Wow this beach is great. One of our excursions on NCL getaway and ended up being the best one of our trip. Beach is clean, security guarding your stuff, and friendly staff. The snorkeling here was so beautiful, unforgettable!

We used the cruise excursion as well. Primarily because we had never been to Roatan. From what I can remember there didn't seem to be very many taxis or vans around the area where we disembarked. Nothing like Cozumel or Grand Cayman. The entire port area was built by Carnival - including the 'village' you go through. Only one street leading to it - no parking lot areas or anything where independents might be able to park. The ride is about 30 minutes; the beach is WONDERFUL. Snorkeling is AMAZING. Have someone take you out and show you around. Just a tip. Staff is very helpful. They watch your belongings so no worries there. We were lucky to be there on a slow day.

The Iron Shore restaurant is right next to the wall. But if you snorkel awhile and then just want to hang out I would suggest walking down the beach a little bit and going to the Thirsty Turtle at Bananarama or the restaurant at the Paradise Beach club is also fun. Both will provide chairs for you to use for a fee. I do know that Roatan Activities has a booth in between the two and they can help you rent a chair. The Paradise Beach Club will reimburse your $10 rental fee if you make purchases there. Ask for Pinky or Julio at the Activities booth and they will direct you on any questions you have. You might also inquire on a short snorkeling outing. The wall is great snorkeling but a short boat ride can take you to some great open water snorkeling right over the reef or ask them to take you to all the starfish. A hidden gem is the Caribe Tesoro at the opposite end of the beach. They have a huge pool (overlooking ocean) that you can get in with a swim up bar. Worth the 10 minute walk to other end of beach. Just let me know if you have other questions. I travel there often.
