Kept hearing about a few points after arriving at Itanagar. The administration / local bodies, however, take minuscule efforts to maintain or develop local places of attraction. This is just another freshwater lake, nothing spectacular.

Firstly, from purely tourist point of view, one should NOT visit Itanagar.....not at all....there is nothing calling. Nevertheless, if you have arrived; you shall be prompted to visit this place. Your mood, your energy & weather would dictate your enjoyment here. Though nothing spectacular here,...More

Good, calm & quite place to read a long forgotten novel or a book. As a single tourist, Somehow, I am averse to being at such location, gives an awkward feeling. Probably a larger group might work better with lots of food & you know.....

Well the ganga lake has no resemblance to the holy Ganges, it's just the sheer misuse of words that this lake which is also known as Gekar sinyi in local dialect is termed as ganga lake. Anyways recently renovated by govt to give it a...More

Nice lake with forest nearby. Hot and humid place. Limited arrangement for refreshment nearby. Good to visit with friends, but a bit difficult with family.

The Lake is in outskirts of Itanagar. Very peaceful place. With time in your hand visit here. It takes more than 3 hrs to take around the lake. Take your snacks and drinks with you. Late evening be avoided.
