The Goetheanum is really a colossal building in the middle of the wavy landscape of Arlesheim! It looks like from a different planet. I had a very good quiche in the cafeteria, followed by a delicious and not so pricy piece of cake. One can...More

A place to study Anthroposophy, do research in the extensive library or just visit. A truly remarkable structure using free form concrete. Biodynamic garden. Orchards. 10 km south of Basel. Banned by the Nazis due to free thinking. Anthroposophy Is a method of gaining insight...More

With the Sagrada Familia of Guadi, probably one of the most innovative monument of the XXyh century. Very interesting and harmonious touches of colors inside, contrasting with the concrete. This monument needs to be better known.

Exterior is the most beautiful part. Is opened from 9 till 21 and with a nice bookshop inside. And a great antiquariaat in nearby building for a-literature

This unique building is far more beautiful inside than the concrete mastodont outer appearance. Inside is where the uneven angles and colourfullness really comes to its right. This church like place still worships the Steiner way of life. remember to observe the surrounding neighbourhood houses...More

Designed by Rudolf Steiner, the architect inspired by esotherics and symbolism, the building has a gorgeous air, a clever play of the positive and negative volumes. It is not finished itself, therefore it has a harsh, raw feeling, just like nature itself. Best way to...More

Is not a touristic site per se. Apart from the beautiful landscape and the special architecture Dornach has not much to offer. But if you visit the Goetheanum Theather for one of the artistic performances, you are in for a lifetime experience. Absolutely astonishing.

The main structure and the surrounding buildings and grounds are really worth seeing. It's an easy walk up from Dornach, and from there one can see the surrounding countryside. Inside you can get a bite to eat. The architecture is very cool and has both...More
