Wonderful! Great views, nice drive, paths are a little tricky, uneven and can be hazardous especially for children. Drop off is very very steep and unguarded by a rail this is a serious risk. Good to read the history about this too. Was cold and...More

Having our own White Horse (Nr. Wilmington) in the Sussex countryside, it was a lovely change to visit a further afield horse whilst holidaying in Westbury area. Car-parking was free, with the obligatory Mr. Whippy ice-cream van at the top, The walk to the horse...More

This is a lovely place to blow the cobwebs away and on a clear day you can see for miles you can walk right to the edge and see the carbs out White Horse. Plenty of free parking no toilets.

I have travelled up to Westbury White Horse on many occasions, most recently on a very hot day in July for a picnic and to see the view now that the Westbury Cement Works chimney has been demolished. Parking is free but there are few...More

Calm and quiet walk up the hill yesterday. Stunning views and great to see the gliders up close when they were getting ready at the top. Lots of sheep grazing so keep the dog on a lead but other than that a fantastic walk!

White horse in Westbury is one of the eight horses in England. It is majestic and the view from the hill is stunning. A must to visit

There is a car park, but you have to realise that this is a chalk escarpment leading onto Salisbury Plane. The horse itself is on an angle of 60 degrees maybe more. You will have to cross a small road, go over a style walk... More
