The car park provides an adequate view of the White Horse & has an information board, though it is pretty limited in size & could go with better maintenance.

The view from above is accessed with difficulty. Unsurfaced car park the other side of the road and then 300 meters of rough grass littered with animal droppings: we are used to sheep and rabbit poo but dog mess is unnecessary and very unwelcome. Steps...More

We did 8 white horses in the area. This one is the largest and easiest to find as its up a well signposted road. From the horse you have great views and its well worth a visit.

Popped up single track as easily marked. Easy drive up to huge car park then waljed a few hundred metre to start of track, very steep and have a tingle in bum for most of it due to height. Touched the head of the horse...More

We moved to Westbury in December 2016. Been up to the horse many times now, very popular place for visitors. Easy parking and great views of the surrounding countryside.

Parked at the top and walked to the white horse, felt the wind blowing against the fort. Walked around the Encampment and wondered about being here in the depths of winter with that wind blowing! Watch out for the para-gliders and hang gliders though.

Sorry for the delay in replying. I've been at a conference for a week. It depends how close up a view you require but if you travel on the road from TROWBRIDGE to Westbury ( see a map) once you pass through Yarnbrook you... More

This question was asked some time ago but for anyone else going to the White Horse the answer is No. You would need your own transport, or walk ( steep climb) or get a taxi
