Visited the castle early New Year well out of the tourist season. There were very few tourists there so had the castle to ourselves to view and take our time. Had time to read the stories and exhibits. Well worth a visit.

Really interesting visit to Colditz. Fabulous guide called Alex who made it so interesting. Lots of the building is open to the public and there were many interesting banners with info.

I don’t know as we don’t have a dog, however if you telephone the castle, the tour guides speak good English in the gift shop, where you get your tour tickets.
