Beautiful and manageable but tricky with small kids

We hiked this as a family of five (4 months, 4 years, 13 years, 39 and 41 years). It was not easy with the small kids but we managed. We set off from the Henrietta bus station (Bus 3B got us there from La Louis). We checked out the Look Out first before setting off on our adventure. Rain over... More

The waterfalls was an amazing experience made even more so, because of the experience and knowledge of the guide Jay who lives in the village. Must wear trainers, or wet shoes and bring insect repellant (just in case). Guided by Jay Tanoo, whom we would highly recommend. He is very friendly, informative and like the Mauritian "Ray Mears". As a... More

You just can't leave Mauritius unless you visited the 7 waterfalls.First of all you need a guide.Don't do it without it because could be dangerous and you certainly loose the best spots. We were lucky to have a brilliant guide, Jennysen (+230 5733 1313 WhatsApp).Very kind, and he knows the place like his own yard.He even brought us some lunch and... Visited with my wife. Our guide was Jay Tanoo who was a very good guide. He is very knowledgeable about the area as he has grown up living near the falls. The day we made this trip the weather wasnt the best, it was a little windy and cloudy. But the views were still amazing. It had been raining the... More

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a wonderful day with Wesley at the 7 Cascades! It is definetely an amazing place to discover if you love nature. I heard about Wesley through TripAdvisor and arranged everything via Whatsapp (+2305184966) a week before our arrival to Mauritius. He was kind to answer quick and plan a good hiking day for us. We... More

Our trip to the 7 cascades was a highlight of our holiday in Mauritius. Mostly thanks to our amazing guide Jay. We found Jay through trip advisor and easily organised the trip through text messages. He was a fantastic guide and made this hike memorable and also very educational. We learnt so much about Mauritius - history, politics, ecology, geography.... More

If you're looking to see a bit more of the island than just the beach then a tour of this stunning location is a must! We did a 4 hour trek with our 3 kids aged 13,12 & 7. The first 20mins are downhill on a very muddy track, gets easier after that but decent walking shoes/trainers are essential. The... More

Nature lovers would love the trail and walk to one of the falls. A swim under the falls is a must but one should be rather careful as it is quite slippery. Always go in groups and preferably with experienced people.
