We saw most of the native snakes, frogs, turtles of Costa Rica. The staff were enthusiastic and happy to answer any questions. The fer de lance and bushmaster were much bigger than we expected. Loved the green vine snake as well. Nice place to visit,...More

The place is a minizoo for reptiles and frogs and by itself is average but if you come at the time when the young new guide is giving the tour, it becomes a fascinating lecture on the life of Costa Rican snakes. The guide is...More

We were pretty much hotel bound for our 24hrs in Monteverde because of a storm and this place was walking distance from our hotel. There's a good array of snakes, frogs and spiders to look at and the guides were eager to tell you more...More

We really enjoyed the variety of snakes they had available to view. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Also with our ticket purchase, we were permitted to return in the evening to view the replies again in the evening.

A nice place to see closer snakes and frogs from Costa Rica. With the same ticket you can come during the day but also at night time

We were here at a rainy afternoon, but the place is quite expensive for what you get. There are about 50 (?) snakes and frogs, and a couple of turtles to see for $13. You can come back for a night visit, but I dont...More

I was very impressed with the design of the Serpentario, as the mirrors behind each exhibit allowed me to see the snakes who were hidden or sleeping (as I went early in the morning, while most snakes are more active in the evening or at...More

In this time of the year there are many rainy days. We found this exhibition more interesting than expected. A bit smaller and a bit more pricy. One is allowed to come back at night but we did not. Animals look healthy and well looked...More
