Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A lot of the reviews are negative because the beach is so crowded. Don't let that put you off unless you want a relaxing book reading day on your sun lounger :)
We were staying in Icmeler and went over for the day. We had a Turkish friend with us so we had an amazing lunch at one of the Turkish restaurants in one of the side streets. Much cheaper than the restaurants on the sea/river front.

We didn't do the river boat but when we go back this year it's one thing we definitely want to do.

The beach is popular with locals, so it was crowded, but we didn't stay on the beach, we walked all the way past the crowds to the cliffs at the end. What amazing views. And then we spent the afternoon jumping off the cliffs, into the sea, with the locals :)
Amazing time in the sea, there are cold pockets of water all over. We swam about so we could float in them as it was such a hot day.
Great fun for all of us.

It is a very nice place to waste your money. The parking fee, which is claimed to belong to the state, is 100 TL. There is no place to go into the water at the public beach. Everywhere is full of beaches. You cannot go into the water at the place called the public beach. Don't come in vain.

The beach is very suitable especially for children, it deepens very late, the sun lounger fee belonging to the municipality is 100 TL per person, you can also throw your own towel, there is a facility belonging to the municipality, you can use it for your toilet needs, the price is 5 ₺, the other place is 15 ₺, there is a shower and changing cabin, you can also go to the municipality for food. Use the cafe that belongs to it. It's cheap, delicious and the staff is friendly. If you go early, you won't have any parking problems. The distance between where you park and the beach is close.

An unforgettable place where you can ride a boat on a river with the purest water in which salmon and geese splash for pennies. A bunch of different restaurants with delicious and inexpensive fish and seafood. Sandy beach, kite surfers, interesting little shops. Cute houses in Turkish-Balkan style. It’s a pity that we were only there for one day; I would recommend staying here for at least three days. I really didn’t want to leave. A bus goes from Marmaris towards Mugla and stops at a fork. Don’t cross the road, go a little forward and there will be a passage under the highway, then walk for about 15 minutes along a picturesque road with beautiful views of the valley. Back too, either walk to the fork or take some kind of bus there and wait for the bus from Mugla to Marmaris. Maybe there is something direct, but this is how we got there, it wasn’t difficult to walk. Buses in Turkey are cheap, clean, and a pleasure to ride. I highly recommend visiting Akyaka!

Visited this Beach, we crossed the wooden bridge and walked on the boardwalk. The beach was very shallow and safe however its dirty. The shores are littered with trash. We walked all the way to the end were people are doing their kite surfing and the farther we walk, the more trash were left behind. Such a shame.

As a family that has been trying to visit all the bays for years, it was our first visit to Akyaka and frankly, we were a little disappointed. The sun loungers of the businesses on the entire beach are covered, there is no gap. It was extremely crowded in mid-August. It is no different from the Marmaris coast. And the holidaymaker profile generally consists of young people. I don't think it's very suitable for families. Of course, this may change depending on what you expect from the holiday. Prices are the same everywhere on average.

The beach is free but very small and therefore very crowded especially during the national holidays. The water in the region is very clean and cold because of the Azmak river which flows into the sea. You may join a boat tour and rent a special boat for yourselves to see the beautiful bays near the region.

After visited beautiful beaches at Datca and Turunc this beach was totally dissapointed. Very crowded at weekend even out of season and many trash at beach. Shallow. May be good for children but I don't like personally. If you can pay 25tl enterance fee better to go Cinar beach.

We have visited visit a few times and it is well worth trip. The beach is well maintained and there are a couple of bars for refreshments and a cooling breeze to temper the heat - Bar 1 is particularly nice. Renowned for its fish sandwich numerous outlets satisfy this - Golden Roof doesn’t look much but is very nice and very economical for a lunchtime snack.

On our last visit the International Kitesurfing Championship was taking place. Oh, don’t forget to take a little boat trip up the River Azmac.

Very shallow water, you need to go out a long way to get waist high, but I guess it makes it safer for kids. Lifeguard on duty 9-6, clean water usually strong breeze. Beach very busy get bed early to be on front, hire charge 7.5 tl
