Highly recommended trail for anyone interested in nature. The paths are interesting, some even through a game park, and the huts are comfortable and mostly picturestque.

Every hut a surprise. Great to be in the eastern cape bush. Beautiful riperian vegetation. Grey blue sea. So worth it. Not too tough. Hard days followed by easy days. Great places to cook. Lots of spiders.

My family and I had done the one day trail, 8km canoe trip and 4km hike to where we were staying. We seen giraffes, nyla and zebras at the dam. It was very adventurous and we will most likely be back.

Thinking back, none of us had any concerns with animals at Lilypad, or any of the other huts (except one night, at Three Sisters, there was a startle with an equally startled mouse the middle of the night). Lilypad might... More
