Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Terrible service!! Service was non existent we waited to be served and eventually left without beer or food. All the staff were to busy to assist us. We drove all the way from Stellenbosch wanting to do some beer tasting but what a disappointment.

We had a lovely outing on a sunny winter's day. The scenery on route was beautiful. The staff is friendly and attentive. Extensive liquor menu. I enjoyed the 4 beer tasting. Cannot make up my mind about a favorite yet! The fish & chips portion is big and it was delicious.

Loved our time at Darling Brew. Neat and clean establishment. We had tapas for lunch with flights of beer, all good. We took some beer away with us for the rest of our road trip. Be warned, the tapas are generous portions and you may only need one, not like my husband and I who had two each! Super tasty!

Beer here is varied Gr8 and enjoyable
Bird poo 💩 sitting on lighting over a beverage prep / brew area was a serious concern 😐😌
Staff while operating under duress were pleasant and knew their product well
T shirts exorbitantly priced
A once off visit is adequate and I will never return here
Miserable ☹️ person who appeared to be owners wife ,is not an asset 🙄

If you are going to Darling, this has to be your lunch stop. Brilliant! We took our three grandchildren, and grabbed a table outside in the shade, looking onto the giant jungle gym, which the kids took off for, under our watchful gaze. We ordered two flights of the different beers on offer, which were so good that we left with two packs of our favourites. The food was excellent. The kids menu is short, but covers the bases. We ordered the cheese toasty with chips, the hot dog with chips, and the chicken wrap with chips for the children. They were all good, but the wrap with chips was the star of the show. Moist, succulent, and tasty. My wife and I shared the bratwurst roll, which was so good, that we asked where the sausage came from. Turns out it was The Flying Pig, in Darling. We stocked up on our way home, and will be back for more of their meat products. Our waitress at Darling Brew was friendly, helpful and informative. The beer we took home was brought to the table, and added to the bill, making it that little bit easier. All in all, highly recommended. Tasty food, with crunchy chips, entertainment for the kids, and a huge selection of craft beers. And all at extremely reasonable prices. I am kicking myself that I didn't discover the Taste Room at Darling Brew earlier. Will definitely be returning to both Darling Brew and The Flying Pig on our next visit to Darling.

Take a day trip and stop at Darling Brew for a wonderful feast of beer tasting, friendly staff and delicious food. I had the chicken kebabs which were so tender they literally fell off the stick! Prices are fair and there is an inside area and an outside area including a kiddies play area. You may also do the brewery tour if you choose. Highly recommended.

We stopped off here on a Saturday afternoon after coming through to Darling to view the spring flowers. The venue was very full, probably due to the high number of visitors flocking to see the flowers. After some searching we managed to find a table to share outside, but it became unbearably hot after a short while. We eventually got a table inside the brewery, after a long wait. By this stage we were ravenous and the menu and other guests' food looked appealing.
We decided what we wanted to eat from the chalkboard menu, only to be told that they had run out of chicken and wedges. Why not take this off the menu when you run out? I settled for a hamburger and chips while my partner chose spring rolls.
We sat for a frustrating half hour plus waiting for our food, never being informed by the waitress what was happening. The hamburger was acceptable at the end of the day but my partner complained that no the spring rolls were dry and not accompanied by any sauce. Some consolation, the beers were good.
I could not wait to leave-my first and last time there. We were probably there on the wrong day but I will not risk going back there again; there is still a bitter taste in my mouth.

We were quite impressed what was on offer this time, because on a previous visit the food on offer was questionable. I hope the new change in the kitchen will take it to new heights. The serving staff were very attentive and friendly. The great beers are always a winner and a meal on its own, but we stock up for the way home.

Darling Brew - thé place to be if you're into Craft Beer. A lovely building, open and clean with place for kiddies to play while Mom and Daf indulge in a beer or 2 and a platter. We were there for a festival with teens, and it is definitely a hangout for youngsters. The food was delicious and a great, vibey atmosphere prevailed.
