Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

In the less touristy months this beach is a pleasant one to walk along, especially in the morning. There is a mix of the locals getting their morning swims or runs in, walkers, people walking their dogs and a few tourists taking photos of the bathing boxes.

It is sandwiched between a few noteworthy areas: Green Point [see separate review], Hollows Beach, the Brighton Gardens and Brighton Beach. It is also the home of the very famous Brighton Bathing Boxes [see separate view].

When the tide is out you can walk from one end to the other and cross over into the other beaches. This beach has stunning backdrops of the city skyline, the bathing boxes and the bay itself. The sunsets are spectacular too.

Note: there is no carpark here, so off street parking [1hr] is suggested or take the local train or park at Green point which has a large, yet expensive carpark.

Worth a few visits at different times of day.

Very picturesque location with many bathing boxes lined up for a picture perfect. The colors of the bathing boxes are so bright and vibrant you can't help but take multiple pictures from every possible angle to capture as many boxes as you can. There are a lot of para gliders taking advantage of the wind in the area too.

The beach itself isn't that big, as in it's a short distance from the bathing boxes to the ocean and there are a lot of rocks and pebbles in the sand. While we're there the shoreline is laced with washed up seaweed Some of the tourists viewed this as a nuisance on the foreshore but seaweed is usually not removed because it is an important part of the coast ecosystem. It washes in and out daily with the waves and large storm events and also due to the recent bad weather. Definitely worth the 15min train ride to see the bathing boxes!

Dendy Street beach is located at the emd of brighton beach and has the same iconic colourful painted bathing boxes. Parking is a hassle as you have to park at brighton gardens or on side st.

It is a nice beach and this visit attracted a range of people interested in the 82 iconic and colorful beach boxes. Enjoyable and worthy of a visit. The beach is OK but typical of those along this stretch of coast.

The Dendy Street Beach is the location of the iconic 82 classic, colorful Victorian heritage style bathing boxes, with the wooden frames, weatherboard sides and galvanized roofs. It is just south of the Brighton Beach and just north of the Brighton Beach Station. It is worth strolling this beach which is one of the nicer ones around the bay, apart from the bathing boxes with clean sand and gentle sloping access into the water. In 2018, a red and white one sold for $337 K.

This beach is famous for the colorful little house-boxes in a row on part of the beach. In July when we visited it was cold and windy so it was a little surprising how many people came to the beach to watch the sunset. It was really beautiful

The Dendy Street Beach is one of many beaches down the Bay that is sandy, clean, and safe. There are public facilities here and the famous bathing boxes to look at.
