Considering it was frosty and cold all animals could be seen unlike in other zoos. Great experience walking through the zoo and having the animals so close. Would definitely recommend for families and couples great day out and only cost £12 for two of us.

The price is advertised at £16.50 for an adult, or £6.00 for an activity pass, with free entry to the zoo. A bit of a no-brainer therefore to go for the pass. In addition to full access to the zoo, this gives you access to feeding girraffes, vultures etc as well as a free trip on the road train. We... More

This zoo is at the forefront of conserving wild animals and breeding for reintroduction to the wild and is well worth a day's visit. Although a lot of criticism has been aimed at the owner and staff, and there have been issues in the past, it is clearly evident that the criticisms are being vigorously addressed and the zoo is... Arrived to the zoo on Saturday late morning. Advised admission was cheapest than we originally thought so that was a lucky bonus. Some animals missing from pens however all in all some fantastic looking animals. Would recommend it to anyone who finds themselves in this region of the UK

I had heard a lot about this zoo before visiting, which meant my expectations were high... but I wasn't disappointed! The zoo is set out so you can see animals such as lemurs, ostrich, parrots, monkeys and even goats walking around doing their own thing. You get the choice to buy some food to feed the animals before entering the... More

It is a real pity that the place has been neglected over the years, and seemingly not invested in the right places.. Ive read the reports about the change in ownership/ management, closure or not, and this must be having a detremental effect on the staff and day to day running... Any way, enough of that, about the place... Over... More
