The atelier Bernd Wilhelm is not paying commissions on sale! It can happen that a taxi driver will invent a story trying to bring you somewhere else! Contact the atelier directly for directions or let us help you with a chauffeur. Being a gold-smith master in third generation Bernd Wilhelm settled in Mauritius twenty one years ago. The paradise island of Mauritius inspires him since then in all creations. Yellow, pink, red or white 18 carat gold, brushed or polished, with or without diamonds - from these few elements Bernd Wilhelm dares all kind of combinations. The atelier can be visited on working days from 8 a.m. till 4:30 p.m. It is advisable to call one day in advance and get an appointment. You can pay cash or with a credit card and take the jewelry with you. VAT is refundable at the airport. Take a round in the showroom. Maybe your new favorite is already awaiting you!

we got married on mauritius and our wedding-agency gided us to bernd and his atelier. bit hidden and not easy to find but then wwwwoooowww. very warm wellcome and even we arrived earlier then our appointment bernd took his time to show us around (showroom and workingplace) we came up wiht our ideas and he just perfected them. bernd is very charming in "sales" and so we found all we wanted, weddingrings and plus.. highly recomended to everyone how looks for something special. thanks a lot bernd.

I highly recommend Bernd's jewellery shop even if you are not planning to buy anything just go and have a look at the beautiful handmade jewelleries he makes. Bernd has a great variety of golden and silver chains with modern designs. I absolutely fell in love with his work and was lucky enought to be treated by my husband with a famous Bernd's design diamond ring. It was made specialy for me within my holiday. To me it's one of the most beautiful piece of jewellery I have ever seen: very elegant, unique and very different from what you can find in other shops. I have to highlight the excellent quality of Bernd's hand work and the diamonds he is using for a good price. Bernd and his wife Larissa are very pleasant, friendly and honest people. They will give you a good advice and will do everything to make you happy and feel satisfy with your order. Coming back home I have a little souvenir from Mauritius which makes me smile everyday, I have to admit that I am feeling very special having it. Thank you very much to my dearest husband and dear Bernd and Larissa. It was a great pleasure meeting you both. All the best for you!!!

After reading reviews, we went to Quatre Bornes to the jewelry studio of Bernd Willhelm.
The jewelry was so different and creative, that I could not make a choice on the first visit.
Exquisite and elegant pieces in silver, silver oxidised black, rose gold, gold and diamonds.
When i decided what I wanted, it was already Saturday morning and we were leaving for the airport in the afternoon.
Larissa went out of her way and was able to add another link and little heart to create the loveliest bracelet.
She made a special effort to open up the studio and wait for us en route to the airport.
Thank you Larissa and Willhelm for excellent service and a unique bracelet which surpassed my wildest dreams!
A word of advice, go there at the start of your holiday so you can choose leisurely and avoid a last minute rush!!! :-)

Mr. Willhelm creates wonderful jewellery by hand. I have been to Mauritius several times now and can never, not visit his store. Leaving without finding something is almost impossible. There is something for every ones taste. Small and delicate pieces of art and those once ready for the red carpet.

It was pure joy discovering Bernd Wilhelm and his beautiful gold jewellery; he uses silver too and sometimes combines the two in one piece. His passion for design started early as his father is an accomplished jeweller in Germany. My partner and I had total faith in buying several pieces of jewellery and we look forward to going back to see Wilhelm and his wife on another visit. Bernd was able to tweak a design for me whilst we were still on the island but I fell in love with his work and it was very difficult narrowing down my choices. It is essential to telephone ahead so that Bernd can plan his time as he is busy making jewellery and this will allow him to make time to show and discuss his work. If you are interested in purchasing but don't have a car it might be possible for Bernd to pick you up from your hotel or arrange transport. On returning to the UK we have insured the pieces we bought and I can assure you that we got very excellent value for money as we knew we would. Bernd's passion for creating beautiful jewellery is inspiring and his honesty is something my partner and I can most certainly vouch for; this is very important as there is a lot of jewellery in Mauritius but buying isn't always as straightforward as it should be and buyers should be aware of this! I look forward to seeing Bernd and his lovely wife on another visit to his workshop and hopefully collecting more of his stunning work.

We went to Quartre Bornes to the textile market thinking it was a worthwhile trip. However forget about it, not worth the visit. Luckily we discovered that close by was a jeweller and both mum and I always interested in jewellery asked the taxi driver to find Bernd Wilhelm the jeweller. And what a find it was. Bernd’s jewellery is mind blowing beautiful. His work is really exquisite. All his work is unique and he works with all type of golds and silver. On top of that he is extremely helpful, going the extra mile. My mum found a beautiful ring and the size needed adjusting. Instead of needing to come all the way back to Quartre Bornes Bernd came to our hotel. While talking to him we showed him some pieces we wanted changed and he made wonderful suggestions. Again some days later he came back to the hotel and presented us with our redesigned jewellery. We were very happy. I can highly recommend Bernd. Treat yourself to a beautiful unique design from his showroom or have some of your jewellery altered. Thank you so much.

While searching for places for custom-made jewelry online I came across Brend Wilhelm and decided I had to make a visit. It was so worth it! Mr Wilhelm was in the workshop hand-crafting his latest pieces while his helpful wife Larissa guided me through the collections and helped me to select some stunning jewelry pieces for gifts. I of course also ended up buying a necklace for myself because the pieces were just too beautiful. I highly recommend a visit as you will not find similar pieces in any of the shopping centers or markets.
P.S. The shop and workshop is one floor up when you arrive at the building. You will find some stairs and then just ring the bell.

I surprised my daughter by sending her a bracelet from Bernd Wilhelm. She was overjoyed. The bracelet is simple yet elegant and so unique that if you saw something similar it would have to be from Bernd Wilhelm.

First of all, we would like to confirm what the many enthusiastic visitors and customers have written about their experience in Bernd's workshop. A land of milk and honey with an experience factor! It was purely by chance that we came across a short sentence in the travel guide, which was actually still in paper form, and came up with the idea of visiting Bernd Wilhelm's workshop. We had no idea that we would discover a paradise. We hadn't done any internet research and didn't know what a great experience awaited us, so we arrived at Bernd and Larissa's workshop in shabby shorts and a T-shirt - holiday look. We had registered by phone and were let in without hesitation through an impressively secured main entrance door. Yes, there was nothing we could do about our outfit now when we were warmly welcomed by Bernd and looked at the display cases with the beautiful pieces of jewelry. We quickly realized that the prices were not in rupees but in euros. Gold has its price. As the other customers have already written, however, the profit margin of the middlemen, which would make everything even more expensive, is missing. A quick addition. For me, as a woman, the gold rush broke out. I was able to look at and touch everything that interested me without being hindered. I reveled in a really extensive and unusual range of necklaces and bracelets. Everything is possible here and Bernd provides great ideas and tips. We spent several hours with Bernd in the workshop, learned a lot about the goldsmith's art and felt more like we were visiting friends than in a shop. With such a really high-quality range, I had difficulty making my choice. Within a few days, Bernd made a ring for me that reflects the craftsmanship he has mastered. He would have loved to bring it to our hotel, but we couldn't resist enjoying a second visit to the workshop and picked it up ourselves. Now my husband has a really long wish list from me and can buy the next birthday and Christmas presents himself without having to ask me. What a luxury to know that handcraft and attention to detail are crucial here. Thank you! It's a shame that we can only give 5 out of 5 points.

But we do engagement rings with diamond/s.
You may pay us a visit and see different models in 18kt white gold.
