I heard the organ playing before I got there and thought "This is funeral music" and so it was.The organist was practising for a funeral ater in the day (I saw the van driven by a man dressed appropriately, which said "Funeral Services"!). The church was built in 1926 entirely of wood, with a window by Simon Wistler. This can be seen through, to the wood beyond. It is in a stunning location, right on the cliff edge and very atmospheric and beautiful. To get to it, park in the NT Ringstead Bay car park (do not turn left to the Beach cafe or you wil be charged £5) and take the path to Durdle Door. I saw people with a baby stroller who were going to the service.
There isn't a charge, you can leave a donation and buy a leaflet.

We happened upon this tiny little wooden church when walking by on the SWCP and decided to stop and have a look inside. We were pleased that we did as it is very quaint and well-kept.
So if you're walking by, do take a few minutes out to have a look-see for yourself.
