Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Stunning Royal hunting Palace. Bourbon Royal palace in pure neoclassical style, surrounded by an unspoilt environment. Definitely worth to visit if you near Palermo

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. The hunting lodge is quite unique, and is currently being used as an exhibition of the flora that is found within the reserve that it sits in. Besides this, the palace is pretty bare inside and has only little remaining from the glory days, most of it being looted over the years. From the outside the palace is the real thing, and it is definitely worth a visit.

Nice building, surrounded by nature. It can be visited for free, but it's better to plan it in advance - they only let guided groups in.

Un vero e proprio museo diviso in 2 parti: una parte dedicata alla flora della riserva e una parte dedicata alla storia. Per chi si trova in zona e' un must da visitare

It is a real museum divided in 2 parts: the first part is dedicated to the flora of the reserve and the other part to its history. For those who are around here it is a must to visit it.

Came here but ended up learning so much more. The staff was very helpful and everything is in english and italian, plus very interactive. We learned a lot about local plants and some history. The building was really cool and getting to see, touch, and learn about uses for many of the local plants, nuts and fruit was interesting too.

This hunting lodge is set in a little village called Ficuzza and is a fauna and flora research centre as well as a piece of history dating back to 800AD.
It is surround by natural wild forests (the hunting grounds for the Borbone Kings) and boasts some of the most rare and precious flora only found in the Mediterranean Strip, from Africa to Chile and Australia , of which Sicily sits right in the middle.

The building itself is magnificent in its splendour and architecture. The grounds have both man made and natural lakes providing a habitat for almost extinct species of frogs and tortoises and birds.

A fantastic sanctuary to enjoy the walks through the woods and also a good base to start for exploring Palermo and the surrounding country towns.

Very interesting, shame about the fraudulent restorations of past years.... The historical aspect of the site could certainly be improved.

I visited the little house with other tourists, a guided tour, a beautiful blonde lady who was very kind and competent accompanied us. We saw many things, but it is the palace itself that is fascinating, very large and surrounded by a beautiful forest. Unfortunately, while the lady hadn't finished yet, the driver called us because we had to leave. I recommend this attraction but you definitely have to dedicate more than an hour

Beautiful experience. Very suggestive place. Well maintained and cared for. The guide who accompanied us for the visit was very competent and professional. Recommended for discovering the history of the area through objects, stories and documents of the time.
Compliments!

The visit was interesting. The staff were courteous and prepared. We liked the collections of period objects and herbarium. The lower floor with rooms for storing ice is also characteristic.
