    Prosecco is NOT free anymore
PROSECCO IS NOT FREE But wines and spirits are… This is a comfortable lounge with seats distanced appropriately and screens to separate seats. The reception staff were quite abrupt and impolite but the staff in the Lounge are very polite and helpful. The environment is clean and well kept. The food is limited with lunch today being: veg soup, macaroni cheese, chilli, rice and mixed veg. There is a very small salad bar with bean salad, pasta salad and potato salad; there is also a plate of salad leaves. At 1pm scones, jam and clotted cream was available. We’ve been many times to both this lounge and the Escape Lounge and I was very surprised to find that Prosecco is no longer free. Wine, lager and spirits are complimentary. I was less impressed with this visit than I have been with previous times. The food selection was very limited.

    Unexpectedly very good!
Went early morning, Sunday 9th July and it was fab. Easy access, no queue and lots of seats at 530am. General decor a bit rough around some areas but the breakfast was fine and as good as any you'd pay for in the airport complex. We took soe for the plane too(take bags with you!) and crisps and biscuits and filled our water bottles. Drinks were great even if we were drawn to the "fit to fly" regulations once we'd had 4 which was both nice but bizarre...would they do that in the Grain Loft if you were paying for each drink? Nope! Loos were the only let down. Shared by all on that floor and absolutely disgusting. Door lock broken in the 1 mens' cubicle and the floor was flooded in the shared disabled that men had to use. Not good. Hate to think how bad it would get when it's busy there TBH. That needs reviewing. For £38 each, we had 2.5 hours in there and got our monies' worth so worth it. Views were nice too.

    Great lounge
Arrived 3 hours prior to a 18:15 flight. We booked in advance but plenty of seating available should you want to turn up on the day. Decor and ambience was very nice, and seating area was very comfy. The drinks selection was good, Heineken on draught and Moretti in bottles, with a good range of spirits. The barman was very accommodating. The food was limited in choice but very tasty. Read the poor reviews before coming but decided to go anyway - very glad I did, would recommend!

    Disappointing
Spacious, staff friendly but need more. Tables not cleared or wiped. Poor choice for breakfast not worth the money at all to be honest. Wouldn't book in that lounge again. Shame really 😕

    Could be better
Although we were in Aspire for a couple of hours, it seemed to be during the changeover period between breakfast and lunch. As a result, the breakfast items were generally not being replaced, whilst the delicious looking lunch food was sadly roped off and inaccessible, until the appropriate time was reached, which was after we left. Comfortable seating, tables were being wiped, and the staff were all friendly. Not sure if I would return though.

    Meh.
It’s all abit meh this place. It’s 100% not worth the £40 it sets you back for the couple hours you spend here at all. We walked in to find a spot and have some breakfast the ceiling had literally come down in a wet patch onto a few of the tables and seats and was just left there. Next to none of the charging points worked. No pint glasses for a drink, went to pick up some cutlery and nearly burnt my hand off. Pancake machine not working. And really little choice for food. However, the staff are quite nice the lad behind the bar serving was really well mannered and it still is better than being in the madness of the terminal. It’s just 40 quid to is daylight robbery for what’s in there.

A great start to any trip
The Aspire lounge when we visited was set up for breakfast, there was a wide variety of food available which was being refreshes as it was used. The food I had was hot and tasty. The lounge was quite busy but seating was available. There was also a large selection of drinks and a fully tended bar.

    Excellent welcome by Clare
I had booked for the 29 August 2023. However, because of ATC problems we were delayed until the folliwing day. I telephoned Executive Lounges (Swissport) - I had booked with them direct snd they amended the booking no problem. I was a bit apprehensive about the lounge having read previous reviews. I need not have worried! The four if us received a very warm welcome from Clare when we checked in and she came to checkif we were ok a few times when she was in the lounge. I woukd not hesitate in booking this lounge again if travelling from T1. Keep up the good work

Just OK Has been much better
T1 Lounge We use the longest on a regular basis, unfortunately it seems to have gone hill somewhat. I’d be annoyed if i had to pay for the lounge, we get it free with our bank. Food selections massivly reduced, very limited hot breakfast food due to equipment failure. I would hope it’s a one off. Place was clean and tidy, tables clean.

My friend and I recently visited the Aspire Lounge at Manchester Airport Terminal 1 and were extremely disappointed with the experience. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a lady at reception who simply glared at us and said absolutely nothing. I had to initiate the conversation by advising her that we wished to check in, after which she asked for my booking reference without a single smile or welcome. When I asked her if she was having a bad day, she bluntly replied, “Yes!”

We were also disheartened to find that despite paying to enter the lounge, prosecco was an extra £6 per glass, and spirits, including Gordon's Pink Gin, incurred an additional £2 charge. The food looked as if it had been sitting under the heat lamp for hours. When I requested some salad and cheese, I had to wait 10 minutes for them to bring it out.

The cleanliness of the lounge was appalling. Dirty plates and glasses were strewn all over the tables, and we had to clear a table ourselves to find a clean spot to sit. Two other guests we spoke to were equally disappointed with the service and overall experience.

We will not be booking the Aspire Lounge again. It's a shame that Manchester Airport charges customers for such an abysmal level of service. We won’t be returning and most definitely won't be recommending this lounge to others.

I booked this lounge for my elderly father my two children and my self so we could relax and eat and have an enjoyable start to my holiday . How wrong I was ! . We arrived to 2 queues which was fair enough so we waited and I had my email from holiday extras whom I booked through with my booking reference on it . There was 2 separate tills and 2 queues and a woman , who I now know as Janet shouted “over there in that queue” and waved her hand for us to move . Not the most polite greeting and very aggressive tone . We finally got to the front of the queue and gave the email in . No hello , no welcome , no nothing she snatched the paper and said that’s not sufficient evidence for a booking . Although this is all I had and it clearly stated the booking reference . She said no you’re not showing on the system so can’t come in . I explained that this was all we had and showed her the evidence of payment and she said no . I asked her what we could do as we had paid and she shrugged her shoulders and said well it’s not our fault . I said I didn’t like her tone and asked to deal with someone else I as found her rude and challenging to which she said “ well I don’t like your screechy voice it’s hurting my ears “ couldn’t believe this rude person thought it acceptable to personally insult me when all I had done is booked and paid for an airport lounge . We entered the lounge after another member if staff came along and tried to diffuse the situation her colleague Janet had caused . I felt violated and I would hate for someone else to be on the receiving end of this vile woman . In the lounge the pancake machine was broke , the queues for drinks was massive and you had to wait ages for a drink and it was about 100 degrees in there . Dried up blueberry muffins and a sad looking chilli . I will never acquaint myself at this joint again !!!! Front of house dreadful food dreadful customer service hideous . All in all a horrendous start to our holiday and a terrible experience getting abused off staff 🤮

not worth the money at all. The variety of food is poor tasteless and the staff are not helpful at all. If you compare the lounge to other airports it’s shockingly bad. They need to up the game and get a chef that actually knows about taste flavour and variety. It’s embarrassing and the airport needs to improve its customer service.

Aspire lounge Manchester T1

31/5/24 15.30

Looked dirty from the moment I arrived.
Tired, worn, sticky well used furniture
Carpets scruffy . Lots Food scraps on the carpets near the windows where I was sitting
Tables needed wiping down crumbs and left over bits of food
Hot Food selections pitiful , dregs of something unrecognisable rice and garlic bread ?
Cheese two bits of dried up cheddar
Salads looked ok but the whole place put me off trying it.

Over the years I have noticed a decline in this lounge which is not acceptable, people are paying to go into this lounge, airlines are sending their priority customers like myself, it’s probably worst one I’ve been in. It needs a complete upgrade.

This place is a disaster. Poor quality food. Poor quality service. Just a dour, boring miserable place to be and they’ll charge you £45 per person for it!! Ridiculous prices.

The food quality is the basic of basic. You won’t fund a brand name here. Not will you find a toaster at breakfast. A health & safety hazard apparently. With guests burning toasts and setting off the smoke alarms. So why not offer a toast offer through the kitchens…. No that’s too much to offer. Even the staff service is a bare minimum. Well, there’s staff. That’s about it. Non of them looked like they really wanted to be there. Just going through the motions. No greetings, no thank you, no thanks for visiting or any sort of hospitality you would have expected you’ve just paid for.

Never. Again. Ever!

Totally different to the Aspire Lounge in T2 (went there in April this year). Other reviews are correct in saying there was only a pasta dish (chicken and chorizo) and a three bean chilli. Rice and garlic bread to go with. Salad selection was poor. Miserly fruit basket, two-pack cream crackers, and two types of mini muffins. The food was cordoned off when we arrived just before 12 midday and only one person tending to the bar so obviously queues formed. Stifling hot despite a couple of large freestanding air con units. The people working there were nice enough and there were large windows. Those are the two positive points. I popped across to Escape and had a look in there. Much better food in terms of quality and choice. Extremely disappointing and not worth the money.

Have been numerous times before and know what to expect. Had a booking for 04.00, came up just before and there was a queue 10 deep. There was a family wanting to get in who hadn’t booked until later (7am) who weren’t happy and I quote “if you don’t shut up I’m going to smash your head in” to the child.
When inside:
No postmix working.
Coffee machine broken but staff didn’t care. No one collecting dirty plates,
Systems down for checking in,
Slow bar service - had to wait 10 mins for the barmaid to come over.
Dirty cups (remember we came in when they opened!)
Due to come back in, later on this year - not sure if we want to now. Happy to discuss this further with management.

Currently sat in the aspire lounge In Manchester Airport, paid nearly 90 pounds for this and to say dissatisfied would be an understatement. Two meals available pasta and a 5 bean chilli with rice and an offering of a salad with the smallest chocolate and blueberry muffins I've ever seen. The bar is Manned by two members of staff and sometimes only one serving , the lagers are Heineken and morretti in 330 ml bottles and if you require anything else then it is charged 0a .minimum of two pounds, a glass of prosecco is charged at 6 pounds when querying the cost was told its in the small print. My advice ie steer clear of this place as its on its knees and if I was a member of staff would seriously consider changing jobs as this place will be shut in near future unless it gets it act together and start giving value for money. Don't even get me started on the air con , no need th cook anything......just leave it on the side for 15 mins and will be well cooked.
