We loved our trip planned through Masai Mara Holidays! This was our first and probably only trip to Africa. After multiple email communications with Daniel, who consistently answered promptly and thoroughly, we chose a 6 day Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara safari with a half-day guided tour of Nairobi. It was a wonderful plan for us!
Starting with the half day tour of Nairobi was great and allowed us to recover from the long air journey. Our city guide was flexible and friendly and stopped at a fixed price shop at our request. The National Museum was a great introduction to Kenya. I wish that we had skipped the English guide though. Signage was in English and the guide rigidly pushed us through his plan. The Giraffe Center was a relaxing joy.
David, our safari guide, was great. We traveled a long way and everything went smoothly. Game drives were amazing! When we thought we had hit the highlight of the trip, another one would appear. David went out of his way to make sure we got great views of amazing wildlife. Our mid-range resorts were comfortable, in great locations and had delicious food. If your resort has Masai Mara dancers, the village visit is somewhat unnecessary. Visiting the village market was frustrating.
The drive from Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara was beautiful. The drive from Masai Mara back to the airport was not at all enjoyable. The only thing that I would probably have changed would be adding a hotel night back at the airport hotel before beginning the air journey home.

We could not have been happier with this trip. Even before the trip started Daniel was very responsive in emails when we had questions. Our driver/tour guide was John and he was fantastic. He knew all the best places to see all the animals, we saw the big five, as well as other animals. It was just amazing, the trip could not have gone any better. It was extremely efficient and we had such a great time. All the lodges we stayed in were excellent, the food was great. Big shout out to John for making it the trip of a lifetime. If we go on a safari again we will definitely be booking with them again. They also helped us organise a hot air balloon ride, which was one of the best things we have ever done.

I've booked with Masai Mara Holidays because of the good reviews on Tripadvisor and it absolutely is everything it says it is. The communication and planning I've done with Daniel went very smoothly. Got quick replies and he was flexible to make adjustments to my wishes and budget. Initially I wanted to go with a group but no one traveled the same dates as me so I traveled alone with the coolest driver ever: David. As a woman solo traveling I felt comfortable from second one. David is an excellent guide and driver. He taught me a lot about birds, trees, plants and the animals in Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. David is the kind of driver that knows how to handle Masai Mara. Driving around the big crowd to give you a different and better view on the animals. Doing it patiently and gracefully. After 14 years of experience David still had the same enthusiasm as me (who went for the first time on safari) when seeing an animal. Very lucky to have seen the big five and definitely more of a bird watcher now. We stayed two accommodations of the Sentrim Safari Camps, which were comfortable and nice with good food. Definitely recommend!

We had a last minute decision to visit Kenya and Masai Mara Holidays came to our rescue to craft a safari to the Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru on short a notice. Pickup from Nairobi was promptly done by John, our safari guide who shared a lot with us the culture, day to day lives of Kenyans ontop of the wildlife we encountered on safari. We stayed at comfortable tented camps throughout our trip and encountered the big five and all the other wildlife species except the leopard (luck was not on our side) Over all our experience was excellent and we look forward to visiting Kenya again in the future with Masai Mara Holidays

Our Tanzania Serengeti safari research began almost six months before we ultimately chose Masai Mara Holidays. After assessing more than 20 agents and liaising with about five different companies, we opted for Masai Mara Holidays because, Daniel, our contact person was extremely accommodating with our itinerary changes, as well as our preference regarding hotels, meal plans, and more. Until we arrived at the KIA airport. we remained apprehensive about how our trip would go. However, once we meet our guide, Samson, he effortlessly alleviated our worries. Sam ensured that our vacation was tailored to our every desire and meet our expectations beyond measure. His extensive knowledge of various parks, flora and fauna was informative, and he took the time to explain animal behavior to us. As result, we saw the Big 5 and numerous other animals, such as lions, lionesses, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest migration in Central Serengeti, and rhinos in Ngorongoro crater. The food was exceptional, particularly considering our vegetarian preferences, and Sam went out of his way to liaise with hotel staff to guarantee that we received delicious meals. I would undoubtedly recommend Masai Mara Holidays, particularly for his fist-time safari-goers, as they took excellent care of us.

I had an incredible time on my safari! I chose their 4 Day Masai Mara & Lake Nakuru Safari and then, since I was doing a private safari, I was able to customize that into a 5 day safari plus a Nairobi day trip. They were exceedingly easy to work with. My driver/guide (Charles) was amazing, and the price was extremely reasonable. Binoculars are available so that you don't have to bring your own, but we were so close to the animals all the time that I barely used them. Free bottled water is also available in the vehicle. I chose the van instead of the land cruiser and was happy with my choice. My guide was also able to arrange a Masai village visit, which I highly recommend. We saw all of the big 5 (lion, leopard, black rhinoceros, African bush elephant, and African buffalo), the ugly 5 (warthog, hyena, marabou stork, vulture, and the wildebeest), and pretty much every other African animal you can think of - some that I had never even heard of! My guide also shared his photos and videos with me (he had a way better camera and was an incredible photographer) and took some photos and videos with me in them since as a solo traveler I wouldn't have had any otherwise. I had the time of my life on this trip and hope that someday I get to go back on safari again.

Thanks to our guide Richard Generally of Mario Safari, we saw lion (pride of 11 feeding), leopard (defending a baby hippo carcass from hyenas, cheetahs (socializing), elephants (suckling), giraffes, hippos, baboons, rhino, water bucks, warthogs, topis, dik diks, elands, impalas, gazelles, crocodile, zebras, mongooses, guinea fowls, hyenas (scavenging), vervet monkeys, oribi, Egyptian geese, hornbill, ostriches, fox, jackals, donkeys.......in 2 days! It takes more than luck, I think it is due to the hard work and knowledge of our guide.
The journey from Nairobi to Masai Mara was comfortable in a Toyota Voxy but the return in a Suzuki Alto was uncomfortable, even dangerous.
We stayed at Ashnil Camp that was extremely well kept and comfortable where you sleep guarded a mongoose clan and just 30 metres from hippos (they are at the bottom of an embankment).

We had such a lovely time in Kenya and all thanks to Masai Mara Holidays. Daniel was available all the time for any query I had(sometimes even at the middle of the night) and helped us not just plan the trip but also gave us a very very good guide cum friend(Rafiki) named Robin. Robin knew the in & out of the entire Mara National Park & other parks too and made sure we spot all the Big 5 of the famous Masai Mara game drives.
We almost thought we wouldn’t be able to sight a Rhino considering the low numbers but Robin didn’t give up at all and made sure we spot that beauty just in time.
The picnic by the tree in the open park is a surreal experience and then we moved to Lake Nakuru which was another beauty and what a setup. From there Robin took us to Hells Gate national park and we had such an adventurous day there cycling, rock climbing, trekking and then the amazing end to the day and trip with the Geothermal Sulphur Spa ❤️
Robin not only was very good with the safaris sightings but in general we had a great time learning Swahili words from him and about the Masai culture and the background about the country too.
Overall 10/10 to Masai Mara Holidays for this amazing and unforgettable trip. Thank you so much.

Very good and credible /reliable tour operator to interact and arrange for hassle free travel and stay in Masai Mara. I was to visit Masai Mara in Dec. 2021 but due to Omicron variant had to cancel having paid a part of the tour package in advance. I was in constant contact with Daniel and vice versa who assured the hotel booking would be carried over to the next year and rebooked the domestic flights. Daniel is very prompt in responding and has answers and options available making it easy for tourists tp choose.
Finally travelled in Nov. 2022 and everything was seamlessly arranged, pickup from Jomo Kenyata airport to transfer to Wilson airport and transfer back. I had a few hours before my flight back home and Daniel arranged a day tour in the city with his team.
For a lady solo traveller, this was a very memorable experience.
