I regularly excercise in this area and sometimes bring visiting grandchildren here. It has a great playground for children and good electric barbeque facilities which are under cover. Lots of beautiful trees give lots of shade and are beautiful colours in autumn. If you cross...More

Lovely flat parkland with river, beautiful walks especially in autumn when the trees display stunning colours. Tranquil, will return again.

We had a BBQ meal at Bell's Parade about 3 weeks ago. It was a nice evening and we used the Electric BBQ's beside the river. Basically it was BYO and the Electric BBQ's were clean as was the rest of the park area.

I walk there every day, what a lovely place, not quite the botanical gardens but close. Best in the early morning when the ducks are feeding, keep an eye out for other fauna.

Pleasant enough but not to justify the 60k round trip from Sheffield where we were staying. There’s a path along the river and it would be, I’m sure, lovely to picnic here.

Well maintained park with picnic facilities beside the Mersey River. The bubbling water sound over the rocks and the fresh smells of the trees is a tonic after visiting a few nearby busy tourist attractions. Lots of replanting on Pig Island after the floods and...More
