It was a fairly easy walk, We carried our sandals when on the beach and put them on for the hills. The views are really amazing, so bring your camera or cell phone.Written 31 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - VanBSaugerties, NY3 contributionsGreat group surf experience out on the unique reef break at Gallion Beach. Seb took out a group of about 9 on his boat, provided boards and rash guard tops, and guided each person out onto their own waves. The 3 teens we took caught multiple waves, and we were able to hang out on the anchored boat to watch and take videos. Seb was knowledge about the surf and conditions. We had an excellent time, and went back for seconds.Written 14 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lindsay NYpsilanti, MI4 contributionsMy husband wanted to try surfing while we were in St Martin, but I was not so sure. After meeting Thibault, I felt much more relaxed. We had never surfed before, but had experience paddleboarding, snowboarding and skateboarding. It was very different! We went over some basic info on the beach, including a map that he drew in the sand (which just added to the vibe) of the route we should take to get back to the surf zone, which areas were more shallow and should be avoided, and how to paddle and jump up on the board. We motored out to the buoys and jumped in! The waves were larger than I expected, but as soon as I caught the first one I was hooked! Thibault was always checking in with us to make sure we were ok after catching a wave, and giving us feedback on how to improve for the next round. My husband wanted the lessons, but I am the one asking when we will be going back. It is definitely a physical sport - but I did just fine without having stepped into a gym in months. Thank you for sharing your love of surfing with us!Written 30 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not a lot of visibility, and strong winds. Afew minutes into the rain someone from Wind adventures joined us in the pouring rain on a motor boat and told us to follow him. We did...and where he was leading us was sunshine. We just were right under a cloud, at Green Cay was sunshine. Thanks for helping us having a great time!Written 15 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LALA4 contributionsHad an amazing half day private charter with Captain V! So easy to walk to marina from Secrets Resort in Anse Marcel. To start we went to Creole Rock to snorkel before the crowds came in. Saw a lot of fish and coral there. Then got a ride by tour of Grand Case with some great insight to the local community. I mentioned that I heard of Happy Bay that I thought was close to there and he gladly took us and let us swim and took some gorgeous pictures. We then proceeded to Tintamarre Island and walked the beach and swam with the turtles. He showed us a sunken boat on other side of the island with some fish and swam there and we saw a dolphin! Which is rare and early in season he said but just got lucky. Finished the day grabbing a cocktail and swimming at Pinel Island and saw lots of iguanas there. Overall was a wonderful trip and perfect tour of some incredible parts of the island for snorkeling and swimming with a knowledgeable and easy to hang with Captain. Highly recommend!Written 1 November 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
