Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Group of 8 - great time hanging out with Jeanie the owl and Iona the raptor. Amazing opportunity to meet the birds, very memorable. Maybe a bit expensive, cost ÂŁ400 for two birds - probably handling them 3 times over an hour or so each. Maybe better to go in a smaller group. Anyway, very positive experience glad we did it.

This is a small ground in the middle of a residential area of Bonnyrigg and the main entrance is between some houses. Impressive gates at the entrance. There’s terracing on all four sides of the pitch and you are close to the action. The pitch has a slope (or slopes). Rose were recently promoted to the SPFL and seem to be an ambitious club. A good place to visit for some good, lower level football played in front of a good number of locals.

This is a local and public park in Bonnyrigg. The park is named like many parks around Scotland, after the British king. The park is well maintained with lots of facilities such as children's play area, football pitches, pleasant trees, plants, the Michael McGahey Monument and the Bonnyrigg War Memorial. It’s very much a local park, but a nice place to relax when in Bonnyrigg.

This monument was erected in memorial of those from Bonnyrigg who fell in the two world wars. The monument is located inside King George V Park behind railings. It features a rectangular column inscribed with the names of the fallen. Surmounting the column is a sculpture of a private of the Royal Scots regiment. The soldier is dressed in full marching uniform, but standing with his head bowed in sadness over his fallen comrades. A beautiful monument with a sculpture representing what it means to be a soldier.

This monument stands in tribute to Michael McGahey, a trade unionist and considered a working class hero, someone who fiercely promoted health and safety, and one of the most prominent people during the miner strikes of the 1980s.

The monument is a simple rough hewn block of stone with a smooth front. The smooth face has a low relief profile of McGahey and a dedication.

This is one of two monuments inside King George V Park. The other being Bonnyrigg War Memorial.

We visited for my daughters 16th birthday. Beautiful castle with amazing views. Rooms very authentic my daughter and her friend stayed in a suite located in a turret so was very medieval they loved it. Staff were lovely we made a mistake when booking but they accommodated us and were very understanding. We didn't eat at the castle as the menu was too fancy for our group but it didn't make our stay any less enjoyable.
