Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

These underground oil mills are absolutely stunning and worth a visit! They are not publicly accessible, it can only be done through a guided tour. I called the tourism office in the morning (on a Sunday) and they were very responsive and helpful, so we could go and visit in the late afternoon. Thanks a lot, we appreciated!

On such short notice there was no English-speaking guide available, but Claudia did an excellent job, we understood everything in Italian and it was very interesting! A one-and-a-half-hour personal tour for 2 for just 10 € and she didn't even want to accept a tip... She said that doing guided tours is her "hobby" and that she loves the village and likes to show it to guests. We could really feel this and enjoyed it very much!

There's a little clip about Presicce on Youtube (Ferrero Rocher: La luce del borgo") where Claudia is featured with her little daughter.

She then also helped us with choosing a restaurant for the evening, we went to "Mascapati" and had a great meal! (See separate review.)

Very pretty small town. Getting there is not so easy though as train service is very slow. Worth visiting!

We were taken as part of a wider tour to show modern day olive oil production. Our guide spoke English and translated and so we didn’t miss anything. The owner Gianvito was extremely welcoming and explained fully how the process is now done.

The highlight was definitely the tasting and we then sat down and tried with tomato’s, bread, cheese and figs. It was spectacular.

The best part is that he now ships worldwide so we were able to indulge in his very reasonably priced oils and jams and it will be in England before we are!

    Thank you

A majestic example of baroque sculpture, this massive column stands in the middle of the square and is one of the landmarks of this beautiful town. A TV ad has been played here so if you like Ferrero chocolate you might recall the spot.
