Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Unusually interesting walled garden makes this worth an hour or so of your time.

Some of the more interesting sculptures require climbing a spiral staircase which, surprisingly given that some of the old stone steps are uneven, has no bannister or even a rope down the centre to hold on to.

This is a wonderful little museum. What a shame it will close soon. Hopefully someone will take over the collection. Interesting artefacts like prehistoric stone axes, a carved Pictish Stone, some exhibits related to the Jacobite risings. Great displays explaining everything from prehistory to the Picts, the 17th century, the town's rich history during the industrialisation and lots more. Had a super time and would recommend!

Loved this place. Such a lovely walk and so picturesque. The Shakin'Brig is definitely worth a visit.

Very fine Cathedral, now empty of a congregation.
However the 26m high "Round Tower" from the 10th century is very special.
This is one of only 2 in Scotland (Abernethy the other).
    Probably Irish in concept.

I cannot recommend this place enough. It’s great value for money with LOADS to do. We came whilst the dragon egg hunt was on over Easter and had a great day out! Ours boys are 4 and 8. I would advise layers and waterproof if visiting when we did.

Best part was going round the castle and listening to the knowledgeable guides Alison & Hamish. Also the gardens outside are so beautiful. Lots to see

What a fabulous walk this is, the full walk takes around 90-120 minutes however you can turn around at any point and come back slightly away from the river if you wanted . The views are fantastic and the river amazing. We had our dog with us but kept him on a lead due to the drops. But some people did have dogs off lead.
Just a beautiful walk in a beautiful area.
Definitely be back other walks to do including Loch Lee so watch this space.

We had a fantastic Distillery visit and were totally blown away with their single malts. Douglas was amazing. A real hidden gem of the Distillery world. As yet you can't just turn up but need to be organised in advance by contacting the Distillery for a tour only on a Tuesday or Thursday but well worth the organisation as it's a rare opportunity to have a tour with the Manager or production team you wont be disappointed!

In driving or walking along the High Street this building is quite superb with a unique clock tower. Sadly the building has been closed on the occasions when I have been in the village.

A group of 15 of us went paint balling and all I can say was the next day I was sooooo sore but it was worth it.

Excellent setup and lots of different areas so not boring.

One tip is go for the top package as even 500 paintballs won't last half the day and not fun when you are low on paint
