    Great views;worth the walk
    Walk the well signposted route up to the viewing tower on a hill, just behind the town. Mostly by road with some short cuts through a wood if you prefer that. Takes about 20 mins.The viewing tower is metal and has a spiral staircase up to a viewing platform from where you can see almost the whole lake and the mountains on the opposite shore. Maybe not the best for people with mobility problems or if you're scared of heights!

    The best lookout tower on the south shore
    Stunning view from the 14 meters high tower on the Castle Hill. The view was much better than from the Spherical Lookout Tower (Gömbkilátó) in Balatonboglár which we visited on the same day.
    There are lots of walking paths up to the hill, but if you choose to go by car like we did, prepare for very narrow streets. There is a small parking area when you arrive. There is toilet in the tower for a small fee. Strongly recommended.
