Thong Takhian Beach (Silver Beach) Maret, Thailand 0.4 mi away
#3 of 44 things to do in Maret
There are plenty of picturesque beaches but this one is beautiful, clean and tidy, The sea is very shallow and safe for children, an ideal place for snorkelling as the the fish come close to the beach,
So I’d recommend to families with young kids as they can paddle, also older kids that want to explore on their own, and people who aren’t strong swimmers will enjoy it here too.
Wat Plai Laem Ko Samui, Thailand 7.0 mi away

Wat Plai Laem offers a lot more than Big Buddha and the main highlights for the kids include feeding the giant catfish and the amazing giant statues, a definite must see on Samui.
... I recommend to go in the afternoon...remarkable temples with 18-arm Buddha...not far from the Big Buddha Temple...you can buy fish food for 10 THB and feed the fish in the pond - especially great for children
