I had been looking for an ethical elephant sanctuary in Phuket to go to on my 20th birthday and after a lot of research, Green Elephant Sanctuary kept coming up as one of the best.

As soon as you arrive it is clear to see that they genuinely care about the animals, they explain to you that all of the elephants have been rescued from unethical programmes, where they were ridden etc.

We got to feed all of them, give them a mud bath, bathe them etc and then got showers and enjoyed an amazing lunch.

As it was my birthday, they even made me a birthday cake and sang happy birthday to me which was so lovely of them!

Also, they had photographers getting pics of you whilst in the water which you wouldn't have been able to do yourself. I assumed you would have to pay for these pictures and was willing to do so however they post them on a link of Facebook for you to get for free which is not something companies usually offer and really makes a difference.

I could not recommend them enough and would 100% go back.

The beach has a good view and it’s clean. But it does not have any good shower beside the beach. It can be better. I hope the facilities come better in future

There are 3-4 rescue elephants living here. The guide told us the story of how they got there, plus some information about each of them. We went for a walk, fed, and washed them. All very calm and relaxing. Can totally recommend and encourage to do this trip rather than any elephant ride, or other activity that doesn’t serve the animals’ wellbeing.

    Amazing... MUST DO!
We went as a family with kids between the ages of 6-12. Highly recommended and glad we did this instead of Andamanda waterpark. Not crowded at all, so many activities that you couldn't get in a regular water park like jumping slides, aqua-scooters, paddle boarding and skim boarding, zipline and ninja warrior course as well as a very nice splash pad.
There are many life guards and life jackets available for use. Even kids under 6 can really enjoy their experience as most activities are for all. Clean bathrooms, loads of eating options as well.
They have free to use deck chairs and also paid for deck chairs. The paid for deckchairs come with a food and beverage credit. At the end, the kids also watched a dog show and interacted with many dogs.
One downfall is the reception staff who are very slow. We spent almost 30mins being the only ones registering despite us having booked out tickets online. Also my son was told he was above 120cm after being measured and was told he could ride all activities only to have a different measurement at the zipline. We even called their manager, Pond, who did nothing to support.

This store offers some international food which is really helpful for expats. The place is small and crowded and a fair number of the customers need some manners training.

We visited the park by taxi rather than on a tour. My mother is 84 and most of the tours seemed to be designed for 20 somethings. THe elephants were brought to us and we fed them for a short time paying for the food. It was by far the best way for my mother to fulfill her desire to see the elephants. the animals we saw were well treated as far as we could see but there were clearly a lot of visitors in areas we did not visit. I think we may have had the best experience!

Busy night market lots of the usual street food available and plenty of choice of clothes and souvenirs to choose and haggle over. Worth a visit if you are in the area and have a couple of hours to fill

I sent a mail in advance and Chris (owner) and I chatted on what’s app, he arranged pick up for me and my wife (she came to watch).

We were picked up on time and taken to the lake- 20 min after arrival I had rods in the water..

A full day of casting and fishing followed with help bank side from local guys baiting up the rods and helping landing any fish..
they will de rig anything that goes wrong and are lovely and friendly.

All on all a cracking day for the beginner to advanced fisherman...

I had a 90 minute Anantara Signiture Massage with Nam and it was absolutely incredible. I came out feeling completely refreshed and relaxed. I couldn’t recommend this spa and Nam specifically enough! ♥️

Really great place to relax for the day if you have children. Great pool! Great food, and lots of things to do.

Porto de Phuket has a nice selection of eateries and bars as well as an excellent supermarket with ready made meals and an eat in restaurant. The shops surrounding the eateries have a nice selection and are geared more towards the upper market shopper. This is by no means an outlet mall and does not present as such either. The only real downside is that outside of restaurants, bars, beauty treatments and the supermarket, there really are only a handful of shops to visit. Good for a few hours of shopping, not for a full day trip.

Great gallery with some lovely artworks.
Helpful staff and they do export to your country if you are a tourist and would like the piece that you bought, sent back to your country.
