Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Kait42 contributionsDespite the weather being very windy and wet. We managed a good walk around the park. The lake is great and lots of ducks. The waterfall was very cool too. There is lots of parking. Will return in a better weather day.Written 28 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Miranda13 contributionsOther escape rooms in NZ don't compare to this one; it's in a league of its own. Definitely worth a visit!Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- clarissa s2 contributionsThe fried chicken was so good I almost forgot I was at a climbing adventure experience! it's good enough just to come for food and drink, the best in region climbing course was the icing on the cake!Written 12 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sharon CPicton, New Zealand17 contributionsIt's not often you can have lunch and go to the opera, all in one place. The food was good, the coffee superb (I'm a bit of a coffee buff) and the staff very helpful.
The 'opera' was a movie of the NZ Opera production "Semele", which I had not seen before and enjoyed very much.Written 12 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Even thought there was only 5 of us he came up with ways for everyone to feel included whilst also making balanced teamsWritten 5 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HypnoWarriorPorirua, New Zealand1,117 contributionsCame here for a birthday party your my youngest one (turning 7). Organised on the phone, and arrived and paid for the number of kids attending. Did the duo of bowling and laser tag. Pretty standard ten pin bowling, but did like the tall tube of Fanta (not as much in it as it looks). The laser tag was cool with everything fluorescent. A fun day and worth it if you don't want to have the clean up afterwards at home.Written 1 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bill CNewburyport, MA91 contributionsBrought the grandkids here and left 4 1/2 hours later. Only in New Zealand can there be such a place. In the US this playground would never exist. Here kids play with very few rules. The kids had a great time!Written 17 January 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HypnoWarriorPorirua, New Zealand1,117 contributionsWe came here for a friends party (Hutt Park) and I had offered to help set up the party. The previous party went through to the start of ours so we didn't get the 15 minute setup time. When we mentioned this to the staff they told us that we did get the time. They weren't interested in any feedback either. My son didn't want to spend all the time at Jumperama but would likely to have visited the Junglerama next door. The cost of doing both is $20 and one is $12. But if you have already bought a $12, you cannot upgrade by paying $8 to go to the other one you have to buy a full ticket again.
Overall can be a fun place, but today the service and attitude of the staff were so atrocious it makes me wonder if we really want to visit again. There are lots of similar places around town one can go to.Written 3 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This property is a jewel and my afternoon visit with a tour included a lovely (and very generous) afternoon tea, sheep herding exhibition by the award winning property owner which was very impressive and a heartfelt welcome to enjoy the views and comfort of this spectacularly positioned property boasting soaring views with every turn if the head. Sounds corny- but I genuinely felt welcomed as a guest on this property and comfortable asking questions about how one runs a successful sheep and cattle business all while maintaining a restful lodge for visitors. So much family legacy knowledge of sheep rearing in the area and shared in an entertaining and informative way.Written 28 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
