The fountains has great restaurants, shops & is enjoyable to sit & watch the water fountains dance with music & see kids of all ages enjoying them.
I appreciate the year-round Farmers Market once a week in front of Whole Foods and the various seasonal and holiday family-friendly activities they feature throughout the year!

Great places to bring family, friends and clients from in town or out of town!
The restaurants stores and bars are (mostly) family-owned and local, lending a slightly scruffy feel to the two blocks.

During the school year they bring in many classes of children to teach the areas history and the impact of settlers and Native Americans.
It is family-oriented, yet is good for individuals to wander through the museum and trail.

We were lucky enough to find Dave, who is as solid and knowledgeable a ski instructor as we have met, and one who quickly established rapport with our three children (two girls and a boy).
We had been skiing as a family for several years but this Was our best skiing experience yet - both kids - aged 10 and 8 - loved Dave and were much more confident after the 3 days - ready to go down any slope !

The museum has lots of information about Placer County history and has interactive things for the kids to do to help learn about its history.
Our kids especially enjoyed calling each other on the "old style" phones.

That's what attracted my young family when we came to Auburn 36 years ago.

Although the road down is dusty and texious, you are rewarded by a very tranquil lake that is great for families.

It is a nice find and perfect for children to be introduced to the history they study about in California.
I would recommend a trip with the kids or for anyone actually!

This is a fun family experience or good place to watch fun competitive locals in good ol fashion car racing.
The prices for the food were reasonable and they do serve beer but not in the family section.
