The grounds around the Cavern are beautiful and well kept with large stones and a picnic table so you can sit and take in the beautiful view across Carlingford Lough.
The views were great and the 'leprechaun whisperer' was very attentive, informative and enthusiastic bout his little people.

The gift shop on site has tea and coffee making facilities and sells a good selection of chocolate and crisps as well as a beautiful selection of gifts, all of which are very reasonably priced.

A fairly steep and grassy hillside awaits you, but the cairns are fantastic and the view of the Meath countryside is worth every ounce of effort put into the hike.
The tomb is much like any cairn tomb you’d see in Ireland, but it was atop a very high hill, so you could get some fantastic views, especially with the nice, clear, sunny day we were having.

It's very extensive, a very large site, and as a bonus you can walk down to the river and hike a along the river to the village of Kells.
... OPW were giving tours of the sight and were excellent.It was free to wander round this huge sight and our guide was very informative and brought us up on the roof of the tower where the views were excellent.
