Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I honestly didn’t expect much from this walking tour, given that I’ve been to Osaka more than three times. But boy, was I wrong! The reason this tour stood out was simple: Mico, our tour guide, is an absolute legend. He didn’t just make the tour informative—he made it fun, engaging, and downright unforgettable!
First off, let’s talk about Mico’s English. My previous experiences with Japanese tour guides often left me struggling to understand, but Mico speaks nearly perfect American English, making everything so much easier (and more entertaining). He’s got this personality that makes you feel like you’re hanging out with an old friend—you know, the kind of guy you’d grab a beer with and just vibe.
What sets Mico apart is how resourceful he is. He shares his personal map link, which is packed with places of interest, restaurants, bars, and nightlife spots across Japan. This little treasure trove of recommendations will seriously level up your trip planning.
During the tour, he showed us so many hidden gems in Osaka that I’m convinced only locals like him know about. As a traveler, I’d never have found these places on my own. Oh, and here’s a pro tip: If your group doesn’t have kids, ask him to take you to the special spots—you know, the ones that are a little more... taboo. Wink, wink!

We had some challenges riding the right meeting point and our driver was great by finding us. The tour was fun and filled with several of the local sights. Osaka Castle was beautiful, the market, high rise views of the city and more. He was great about catering to our family and our speed. Lunch was wonderful!

We had a very interesting and enjoyable half day Osaka tour with Dan. He was both cheerful and very helpful as our guide for the half day tour. He even went beyond the normal tour duration to ensure that we had a good time. He helped with taking of most of the photos too. It was a different kind of walking tour as it involved getting on and off local trains. But with the Welcome SUICA card, it was an effortless task. We started off with the area of Namba and then went through the other areas like Shinsekai, Kuromon Market, Dotonbori, and visited a few renowned shrines like the Shitennoji Temple too.

I had an amazing day exploring Shinsekai, Osaka Castle, and Dotonbori with our fantastic guide, Yusuke. He was super friendly and made everything really interesting with his stories and knowledge. At Shinsekai, Yusuke explained the history of the area, making it feel special. Osaka Castle was beautiful, and Yusuke gave great details about its history and the samurai culture. In Dotonbori, he showed us the best local food spots and shared fun facts. Yusuke really made the whole tour fun and memorable. I highly recommend this tour ! !

Outstanding tour of Osaka with Hamed, the tour guide. My son was at the high school baseball tournament, so I decided to book the private tour to explore Osaka and I'm glad I did. Hamed provided me a comprehensive tour of most of the city. Hamed is a great communicator and has an engaging personality, so 3 hours with him was a learning experience on the history of many of the districts along with the back-story on each street toured. This tour was one of the highlights of my seven day vacation in Japan.

Wingki was my tour guide and she was knowledgeable, accommodating, (I was lost and late to the meeting place), friendly, and enthusiastic. My prior day's bus tour with 20+ people, was a starkly different experience.
On this one-on-one walking tour with Wingki, I was able to learn the history and importance of the attractions as we we were there; no hurrying and missing reading informational signs because of too many people or having to rush and get back to the bus on time.
Wingki is not only knowledgeable, but her enthusiasm is contagious. Loved that!
This walking tour, we rode the train and subway to the different neighborhoods. I prefer the walking and easy mobility.
Also, I feel like this tour was thoughtful, especially with learning and making Ukiyoe.
    Memorable and fun!
She even helped me source some specific souvenirs my niece wanted and walked me to the store on Dotombori. Annnnddd she sent a lovely follow up email after our time together. (Who does that anymore?)
Thank you for the exceptional tour, Wingki and Snow Monkey!

Had a great tour with Maya. We covered a lot of ground going to the places previously agreed plus a few we decided on along the way. Maya is very knowledgeable and engaging and thoroughly knows her way around Osaka.
