We’ve used the parking at Lulworth Cove: £10 for 4 hours / £20 for whole 24 hours. It’s a massive rip off unless you’re arriving early morning hours to make most out of it or staying the night over.

The whole place / walking tracks / beaches aren’t pram friendly and I saw lots of mums sitting on a rocks here and there to take a breaks as this was quiet challenging site to walk.
This place is a steep terrain on the cliffs so wear good trainers with strong grip or hiking shoes if planning to go down the beaches at the Durdle Door.
Once there note: THERE ARE NO FACILITIES!
No toilets / no shops / no showers

It is a huge piece of untouched nature so pack essentials only and if you have a weak bladder, plan your journey ahead.

I swam with my trainers and had a change over of shoes in bag, glad I did that cuz the whole beach is covered in beautiful but painful to step on pebbles. I wore my fast drying swimwear already and had a fast drying light dress over. It was a hot day so by the time we walked back to our car I was dried again 🙌

    Tips:
Plan your journey with detail ahead, just turning up will cause you missing out on all areas. Allow at least 6 hours to cover the whole place including break for lunch.

Wear comfortable shoes (No slippers if you love your feet and want to stay safe!)

Pack essentials that are light to carry

Always go with someone so you can get the best pictures 🤣

Don’t approach near by cows, they are lovely but can be dangerous on the hills if they are triggered.

Go on a good weather and not after rainy day. Mud will make it harder to enjoy.

The sea water on our day was so clear and warm, I was sceptical after seeing some photos thinking they are edited but actually seeing this with my own eyes just left me mesmerised.

    Enjoy! It’s totally worth it!

We travelled to the famous Durdle Door in April, left very early in morning to arrive so we were able to get good photos without many tourist. As I am a famous artist we deserved to have the beach to ourselves but many tourists appeared after 9am.

We took many photos for my portfolio and my beautiful brasilien wife and handsome son accentuated the beauty of the cove in all my fabulous landscape portraits.

Take comfortable trainers for the walk down the steps. I heard rumours that it is dangerous but we took my 2 year old son and he survived. Health and safety is not in our vocabulary in Brasil!

Fossil expert Adam, a ranger from the Lulworth Cove Visitor Centre took us on a 2 hr guided fossil walk. We began in the fascinating little museum at the visitor centre where Adam showed us some local finds and talked about the geology of the area and what we might find on our walk. We were a family group of 15 aged between 1 & 72. Adam was very knowledgeable, interesting and engaging. He was also very patient with the little ones! We all found loads of fossils. Thanks Adam!

Interesting spot a short walk from the main cove - roped off although in calm weather it's quite safe for a scramble. Not an impressive as Durdle Door but for those who cannot walk that far (it is a bit steep in places) this is a good alternative.

It’s worth popping in when you visit her so you can find out all the interesting things to go and see. Really clean and tidy inside with a nice little shop.

What a beautiful hike. Be prepared, the initial climb from the car park is hard work (depending on your age and level of fitness). It took us about 45 minutes to walk there (including stops for photos etc) but was well worth it. You can access the beach but I had had enough of steps by then. Wear decent footwear as the paths are uneven and there are lots of loose stones.

You’ll be ready for that pint / ice cream by the time you get back to Lulworth Cove!!!

Interesting old church, the clock tower chimes every 15 minutes so don't park near if you are in a camper van over night.

Visited here whilst walking back to Lulworth Cove from a circular walk to Mupe Bay.
Quite a steep climb that can only be reached when the ranges are open.
As others have said, not that much to see there but you get some good views.

Despite Covid restrictions being eased, we were still looking for somewhere covid safe due to child being vulnerable. It’s very hard since most people are ‘living with covid’ . We weren’t disappointed with Create. Masks were still encouraged , screens between tables and most importantly the big barn door was wide open. No one was cold as the lovely heaters are on. It was a safe and incredible visit and for a couple of hours gave our family a ‘normal’ family experience. We are so thankful and grateful and just hope that this level of care continues when restrictions ease / go as Covid will be with us and for those with vulnerable children we need these experiences and moments of precious family time with safety measures in place. Thank you! Keep keeping the barn door wide open !

I booked this as a much needed time away from the kids weekend with my husband. From start to finish it was fantastic and far exceeded expectations. The location is absolutely stunning - peaceful and beautiful - and we were based at a gorgeous boutique hotel right on Lulworth cove with outdoor pool, sea views and activities all in the doorstep. What attracted us was the sheer range of activities - all of which we were both able to attempt despite being very different abilities. These were very well co-ordinated and organised and I felt so relaxed despite being in the go! My husband loved the boxercise, whilst I enjoyed the SUP Yoga session, sea swimming and coast hiking. An added bonus was our very friendly hosts and the brilliant group - we had so much fun and really bonded as a group. We would thoroughly recommend it to all and we are in fact looking to book again in the coming year.

Whilst visiting Lulworth Cove we decided to take a rib ride to see Durdle Door.
My husband who is not well was very unsure and became very anxious. Shell who was selling the tickets was so good with him and told him there was no pressure. She spent time with him reassuring him that he would be ok and he eventually made the decision to join us.
Kevin came and helped escort my husband to the rib and along with Laura who was our driver/captain for the journey helped him into the rib making sure he was ok every step of the way.
The trip itself was absolutely magical and both my husband and myself were so pleased we went. Laura checked during the trip to ensure he was ok
When the trip was complete Kevin and another gentleman helped my husband off and back to dry land
I want to say a huge thank you to Shell, Kevin and Laura for an amazing trip and for all the help given to my husband.
    Brilliant trip with brilliant staff

Birdbox building! 2 adults and 3 children and we all had a lovely time! Informative, involved and most of all kept everyone involved! The instructor was lovely, so much patience! Definitely coming back again for another activity 🙌
