Food is good, staff are excellent, especially keisha, goes the extra mile, very helpful, and polite. Dine there 2//3 times a week.

Our third visit to the excellent art gallery. Particularly enjoyed the Japanese prints on show this year. Always something different to look at.

Fantastic views and a really interesting landscape. Crabs darting underfoot. Red sandstone appearing from the sand. Shells to collect. Seals playing off the island. At 5.5 miles, a bit long for our 3.5yr old but she made it and had enough energy to build sandcastles on the beach afterwards!

Had a fantastic couple of hours at the museum and was amazing to see so much history from our area. A fantastic selection of trams, cars and buses plus motorbikes. There are models of ships and a massive model railway too. Small charge to ride on the tram but so worth it

Nice for the little ones - fairy wood sculptures are really good and worth a visit - close to the promenade for a nice walk with Liverpool views as well.

I was looking for short walks in Merseyside to explore with my 8 year old and came across Bidston heritage trail on and around Bidston Hill. Took about an 1 and half hours.
We parked up in the carpark next to the tam o farm which is free. Plenty of dog walkers about.
After the walk we visited the farm which again is free but run on donations. They have a cafe open 9-4:30pm daily and toilets on site.
Take appropriate footwear as it can get quite muddy.

Nice quiet area for coastal walking during the week along Wallasey Beach.
Easy to find free parking if you hunt around - during the week out of season.
    A nice surprise in Merseyside!

Nice green space with paid car parking. On the headland above Thurstaston beach. Had picnic here before heading down to the beach.

Head to the right (west side past the cafe) for four bbq areas with picnic tables.

Our first visit to the Priory. Very easy to find and amazed that we have never discovered this gem previously.
We were given a tour by Angela and it was fascinating. Very interesting and knowledgeable and she really brought to life the details of monastic life.
We went to the top of St Mary's tower, brilliant views of the docks and over to Liverpool too.
Everybody should take time out to visit.

Sitting at home, bored, nothing to do, so my wife came up with the idea of a walk around Tam O'Shanters. Not been there since the kids were young so not too keen on the idea but its only about half a mile away so off we go.
Everyone else walking around with kids, so felt a bit out of place. We were greeted by a lovely friendly cat at the entrance, from then it was all brilliant, a lovely place to walk around, well maintained and managed. Loads of animals to see, all obviously well cared for, happy and healthy.
An incredible place to take the kids, or just to visit on a sunny day!

It really nice nature park. Fairly big. There were alot of trees blocking paths when I went which made the walk more interesting for sure. I saw that is meant to be a accessible path unless I am mistaken, the path was not very accessible to be honest. It was a bit busy when I went. There is car park which is great.

If you visit this special “village “ built by a Victorian soap philanthropist visit the Lady Lever Gallery. Viscount Leverhulme had a wonderful collection of furniture, paintings, Wedgewood, chinoiserie, Napoleon artefacts and loads more too. He bought up collections from others and whilst I’m not a lover of classical sculpture these old and not so old statues are nicely presented.
He took inspiration from American philanthropists and the building and glass cupolas are beautiful.
We particularly enjoyed the Augustus John exhibition especially when we learned the viscount hated John’s portrait so much he cut out his head as he thought it was unbecoming.
We found the garden village a great place to admire and wander for a few hours and we shall return.
