Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I came today with my daughter and her two children 8 and 12. We intended seeing the whole site but, we got enthralled by the Saxon village and the two wonderful villagers we met there. Marshmallows were cooked and Runic necklaces made and conversations had by the wood fire.
We stayed for ages, and, guess what? we are going to have to come back to see the animals.
A great half day with you and a good job we have bought a membership ticket.
It is worth reading up the ethos of Wildwood who are not just the sites in Devon and Kent, but are rewilding and conserving and a wonderful scale in our islands.
I deduct one star only because I am disabled with arthritis and the walking was too much for me. A buggy for hire like they do at RHS Rosemoor would be such a boon to oldies like me, who are young at heart. Well done though for such a super site.

Beautiful place to stay and just relax, the accommodation in all the houses is to a high standard and lovingly looked after as are the gardens.

Good garden centre with plenty of choice, enjoyed a nice coffee in the restaurant whilst there. I note there are a few reviews commenting on the no dogs policy. It seems some dog owners have a sense of entitlement as far as their dogs are concerned. I, for one, find it refreshing to go to a place where dogs are not allowed.

We have enjoyed this family event each year. And every it goes bigger and better. The fact the festival is free entry allows you to spend more at the stalls, buy more yummy food and drink all day. You can see alot of thought goes into the whole event, even recycling your rubbish, and very little plastic can found on site. The shuttle bus to get there and back. There Alot to do for everyone!! I would recommend to everyone 😊

An experience like no other!Nowhere else would you witness the carrying of flaming tar barrels by men ,women and children around the streets of this small town.It defies every aspect of H&S,no barriers between the crowds and the barrels, observers sway out of the wave in a human ripple effect, likened to a mass Mexican wave and in unison,it is outstandingly unique and not for the faint hearted but the atmosphere is incredible. No casualties during this modern day pagan ritual and although there is an element of danger it’s worth every minute for the adrenaline!!!If you like excitement then it’s a must see event-totally spectacular! Its organisers and participants deserve merit for this crowd pleasing experience. The streets are lined with food and beverage stalls and the town shows no sign of the activity the following morning so shout out to the clean up operators, they do an outstanding job!!Not suitable for young children or four legged friends during the evening.

An interesting local museum telling the story of this quirky East Devon town with its Pixie Days, flaming Tar Barrels, floods, fires, armed conflicts and daily life. Video presentations entertain and help quickly to understand something about the Town. It's close to the Parish Church, which is also worth visiting.

My sister booked the Segway Olympics at the Devon Activity Centre for my Hen Do. We weren’t too sure what it would be like but we were throughly surprised in a good way!

We had Shaun C as our instructor, he was knowledgeable, professional and a good laugh. Apologies for all our innuendos!

We first had our safety briefing which was informative. We were then given our safety gear before going on a 1:1 training.

Once we had our done our training it was onto the fun and games. We were split into 2 teams; we did slalom’s, holding ducks and connect 4. The music was a great addition and added to our competitive natures!

Our group was mixed from 21 to 57 years of age, and they all loved it and got involved!

I would highly recommend to anyone, we can’t wait to come back again!

I go to the sewing room most school holidays and make amazing creations with Juliet. I look forward to it, during the February half term I went and made a spring reef learning many new skills at a good price. It is good fun to do with family and friends or by yourself. I thoroughly enjoy sewing, therefore it’s the perfect thing to do during my free holiday time. Juliet is such a kind and welcoming person and I guarantee you will have a fun time.
