Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Departure047642309136 contributionsA selection of beaches, along this route. A number of restaurants to choose from too, as well as lifeguards when we were there. Also, a quick train ride to Cascais so altogether, Parede a lovely place to stay.Written 7 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ashley M11 contributionsThis beach was at the bottom of our street. Whilst it’s pretty small and can get crowded you don’t feel confined. The tide rises and falls pretty far so you can find your self retreating up the beach as it comes in. The nearby bar is handy for ice creams, beer and food throughout the day.
The kids enjoyed it especially looking for sea lifeWritten 17 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The chain came off and I thought eek but it was super easy to put back on, these things happen. It was fast and light enough for me to carry at a jog up and down steep steps. There are great cycle routes up or down the coast from Parede, lots of places to lock it up so you can sit at the coffee shops or restaurants. Lovely, helpful guy in the shop. What more can I say? Fantastic all round! :DWritten 23 September 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Bridget K1 contributionMy friends and I had a private lesson with Carlos - it was absolutely incredible! We felt safe and prepared heading in to the water. We enjoyed every moment of it and he instilled a lot of confidence in us! He even let us try on our own for a little while after the lesson. It was definitely above and beyond. I would recommend this surf experience (and Carlos!) to any and every one in the area.
Thank you so much!Written 13 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
