Fun to start out with so many families heading to the overlook, lots of big horn sheep and mountain goat along the way.

Every time I visit this is usually the busiest part of the park with lots of kids swimming in the ice cold lake to people sitting and taking in the outstanding views of the lake with the mountains.
You can have day access at the picnic area near Agpar Campground which is nice for non-swimmers and small children because it is shallow for a bit.

We saw a lot of wildlife - birds, squirrels, chipmunks, marmots, the cutest little weasel and a momma mountain goat with two kids.
Parking was easy, and we got that gorgeous late afternoon, golden sun shining down over the alpine meadows, filled with wildflowers, small waterfalls and streams, and mountain goat families.

This is a great hike for kids or those who need a more accessible hike, as it is a loop on a boardwalk.
An accessible trail, thank you for all the mothers with strollers and family members with wheelchairs from across the country.

I had kids playing in the water, so there were small waves in the water so it made the perfect pictures a bit challenging.
