Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- NHjoSaco, ME8,611 contributionsÉglise Sainte-Marie is the largest and tallest wooden church in North America (and maybe the world) as well as one of the tallest wood structures. It's 185 feet tall. A bit of history: it was built by a master carpenter with the help of 1500 parishioners starting in 1905. Its last service was held in 2019 due to repair and maintenance costs and dwindling attendance. I read that the church was slated for demolition but an anonymous (and rich) donor offered in April 2023 to to restore the church as long as it resumes services as an active Catholic church. Estimated repair costs are A$10 million. I would have loved to go inside and see the architecture, stained glass, and so on, but of course it was closed. There's a museum inside the church that was also closed.Written 4 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kealani_22Truro, Canada77 contributionsSuch a cute light house. The only thing that would make it cuter was if it was in a feild. The parking lot takes away from it slightly. However the building it's self is so precious.Written 10 April 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
