The kids enjoyed feeding the flamingos by the beach in early mornings and the boat ride from the main island was also a fun adventure each time.
By staying at the Renaissance Hotel, you have complimentary access to their private island which includes two enclosed lagoons with beaches: the flamingo lagoon is for adults while the iguana lagoon is for families.

The beach is so soft on your feet and the water was incredible!! Perfect for kids as well, water is refreshingly cool and calm!
Being on the "leeward" (east) side of the island, the waves are managable by adults to young children...the windward (west) side of the island has spectacular crashing waves especially on windy days!

Queen Wilhemina's likeness beckons, and as you near, you may pass families picnicking in the grass, iguanas munching on lettuce fed by the park's staff and foliage that reminds you you're in the Caribbean.
