Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- Amy GGreen Bay, WI10 contributionsGreat experience, but be wary of the marketplace. Vendors very aggressive, and will give "gifts" which eventually are no longer gifts.. Prices also change if they walk back to the bus with you. I would avoid the vendors entirely.. very uncomfortable..Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KristyS6624Islip, NY5 contributionsMarvyn is amazing! We got to the bus with a cooler full of drinks and snacks for my kids. He made sure we were all happy and comfortable all day. We spoke prior to coming to Jamaica about everything we could do with the kids and he gave us great insight on what would be best traffic wise to do with our time while we were in port for our cruise. He made sure to have us back to the ship with plenty of time to spare. If you go to Jamaica and don’t use Marvyn’s Paradise Tours you are missing out!Written 13 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - JuliajoolsNorwich, UK68 contributionsExcellent day with a knowledgeable driver called Karlos. AKA…. PHD. (Pot Hole dodger! ) he was accompanied by Jody.
We soon realised it was the same guide we had 10 years ago.
Karlos arrived punctually and drove us to the Hampton Rum estate, giving us the local history on route. Where we had a tour of a working distillery. He was on hand throughout the day checking we had everything we needed.
Karlos then skilfully drove his bus around the roughest roads I have ever seen, back to our hotel.
Fantastic service yet again. Thank you.Written 29 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. After checking all the agents prices and TUI, we decided it is cheaper to organise the trip ourselves. We have booked tickets through Dolphine Cove website. We have paid for adventure experiance 400 US dollars for 2 adults and 2 kids. The taxi from hotel was 35 US dollars returne. In the package we had also access to Dunn' River falls which was only little walk around 10mni from Dolphine Cove. When we arrive at Dolphine Cove they told us we have to pay 70 US dollars each to have a photos done with dolphines. We decided only kids would get it as it was expensive. At the end it worked out the same amount of money (70 dolars each) to upgrade to Royal experiance and get the photos in the package. Also you get to do more activities with the dolphines. If you pay for photo package at the time of booking online your tickets it works out cheaper. Online it was only 50 dollars each. I know it is expensive but worth every penny as you get lots pictures and they are really good. You want be able to take a pictures as good as theirs from far away. When you enter the Dolphines Cove they will try to sell you water shoes, saying you need them. It is not true, you have to take off any foot wear when you enter enclosure with dolphines. But you do need them if you decide to walk up the Dunn's river fall. We weared flipflops and we did struggle in some places as it was slippery. But we still managed without water shoes, little extreme:). We have done Dunn's River fall without the guide as we didn't want to wait.
You also get a lunch in a package at Dolphines Cove, which was actually good.
Bring change as they expect tips.
We had the earliest session with dolphines which was great as it was getting busy there by midday. People there were great, very helpful, friendly and told us a lot about dolphines.

Special thanks to our tour guide, Samantha, who took such great care of our group when our cruise ship needed to leave port early for weather, and left thousands of passengers on the island for most of the day. She kept us all safe, informed, and content.Written 10 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mia7 contributionsWe unfortunately did not get enough time in Jamaica due to a delay in our ship. As well as that we had a port change which meant that our time with Winston was very limited!
We went to Komodo falls which is 1hr 15 mins from Falmouth and only had 45 minutes there. This was not Winston’s fault and he did everything he could in the limited time we had.
He is is a lovely man who really loves where he lives and enjoys sharing it with tourists.Written 28 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Communication with Marva through WhatsApp was excellent throughout.
We had the best possible introduction and fond memories of Jamaica thanks to Javia who not only gave us an informative guided tour between attractions but gave us hints and tips for the best ways to enjoy the horse riding and Dunns Falls.
Would highly recommend this tour company and wish them every success with the growth of their family run business.Written 28 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Karandas, on their own accord, refunded the price of the two people we were missing. Our driver Neville was personable and very accommodating. I will book with this company again. Thank you for showing us a wonderful time! Thank you Neville!Written 11 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Giammarco M4 contributionsAmazing rider, Dalton is a fantastic person :)
He explained us a lot about Jamaica history and after the tour he get us to a very nice beach before getting back on the boat.
Hope to see you again on our next trip!Written 2 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The tour guides were waiting for us in the parking lot, providing full transport.
Initially, we only booked the river rafting, but the guides were so flexible, we could include the fall climb, which was an amazing experience. The river rafting and tubing were also a fun and safe experience!
In the end we even have a chance to try chicken jerk and have some shopping done before getting back to our ship.
All in all, the Yardie Tours' guides provided us with an amazing trip to Jamaica, giving us all the interesting information about this amazing country!
Can recommend it to families!Written 16 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pulasthi F1 contributionWe had two trips during our time in Ocho Rios and both were amazing! The first day we went to Blue Hole and Dunn's River with our driver Wayne. Both were really fun and must-do's when in Ocho Rios. The next day we went to 9miles and luminous lagoon again with Wayne. Wayne was an absolutely amazing driver for us both days and we couldn't ask for more. He was very prompt in picking us up and was very safe throughout the trips. Along the way he gave us great insight into Jamaican culture and history. He was very hospitable and was able to stop for meals or when something caught our eye. We couldn't have had a better experience with Wayne.
We also booked a airport transfer from Ocho Rios to the airport in Montego Bay, our driver Rushaun picked us up right on time and got us to the airport safe and sound. During the drive he gave us even more facts about Jamaica and made sure the end of our stay in Jamaica was fun and enjoyable! My family highly recommends booking wiht Jacques Tours for an amazing experience!Written 21 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. On the tour, you get to drive a mini cooper behind an instructor around the island. Throughout the tour you receive a lot of history about the island. You also get to make some fun stops along the way. This tour, we drove to the Martha Brae river and had the chance to ride upon a bamboo raft along the river. The river was beautiful and extremely peaceful. We had a blast with the Raft Captian JK AKA from the JA lol. We also stopped at the number one Jamaican jerk restaurant on the island “Miss Tee’s.” The food was absolutely delicious and seasoned to perfection!!! Last but absolutely not least, I have to give a huge shoutout and love to our instructors “Dwight, Peter and Kevin.” They are all amazing and make the perfect team!!! They were extremely helpful, completely down to earth and know how to have a great time and conversation. If you have not booked this excursion, stop reading this review and book today!!! You will not be disappointed.Written 18 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Marcoen v1 contributionWe took a trip from Ocho Rios to Blue Hole and White River tubing tour. The guide we had was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
We had a private guide who showed us the land, and even stopped and certain places to show and smell the local flora.
During the activities he made sure our belongings were safe and waited for us to be picked up immediately.Written 17 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Who took me through all the basic skills I would need when discovering scuba driving. After the theory online and video ROBERT demonstrated and confirmed I had forfiiled the requirements in the pool to go out to sea. Which was reasuring as was nervous. After a quick chat we took one lager step (no giant leap needed) and in the water. The nerve kick in again with it been so deep and so far from shore. ROBERT was calm and encouraging as we desended into the deep. Even under water ROBERT maintained good communications with sign language. The whole experience is one I will never forget along with the massive stingray that Happily swam passed and gave me a fright. But the excitement in ROBERTs face at seeing the sting ray of tremendous size soon replaced the shock in mine back to a smile. £159 us for a priceless memoryWritten 26 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
